Background: Born a magician, Fia is the youngest daughter of a pair of old sages. Currently lives and researches in the Forest of Magic, having come to Gensokoyo from one of the western hidden out lands in Europe. Is very shy and would much rather spend time with her books and research than any thing else. Is something of a hikkamori with few close friends, save for BM's char. Became involved with incident solving after her house and underground cavern were wrecked during a recent incident.

Abode: Fia lives in a small one-story stone house in the depths of the Forest of Magic, on the opposite side from Alice and Marisa. The house actually only contains basic quarters such as a kitchen, a guest room, parlor, and storage, and a few other odds and ends. The bulk of the living space is actually located in a sizable cavern underground, accessed through a warded staircase. It is here that her actual living quarters, library, workroom, etc can be found.

Bio: Distant Renardine (or Rene) is rarely seen in the Forest of Magic, where she keeps her home. The Magician Youkai spends most of her time travelling, looking for new and exciting places. An avid seeker of other worlds, she often finds herself appearing at far reaches of the land.
Rene's obsession with exploring other planes leads her to delve into places with perhaps less care than she should. She had vanished for weeks at a time, appearing suddenly in places around the lands, often sometimes confused or terrified, sometimes invigorated. She has shown up in a dark place between the gaps at least once, to the surprise of the blond woman within – however, she is quickly expelled. At times, she brings through otherworldly things, like her hat, or monsters from other planes. As such, people are wary of her.
Time spent in other realms has given her some strange habits – an obsession with tales, and a tendency to look at things that aren't there. Still, her driven and energetic demeanor somewhat mask her warped personality.
Appearance: Rene is a woman with green eyes, and long, blond hair, coiled into a large single braid leading down to her knees. She prefers short, dark violet robes, with long fluted sleeves. Her robes terminate at the leg, and she prefers black knee-high books. She likes ruby earrings.
Her most notable souvenir is the eight-pointed hat she wears – each prong bears a single yellow eye, around the massive, yellow one at the center. She can often be noticed at a distance due to her long, coiled braid, wrapped in a tentacle-ribbon and bound at the end by a ring of eyes. The hat is, in fact, not alive - it's a minor magical creation, based on something she saw while exploring a mountain cave.

Calling upon the knowledge of the planes, Rene summons a beast from beyond to aid her. The air around her ripples and light splits, dividing into prismatic colour before red gives way to black. On the first round, rains of chaotic energy rain from the portals, as white shapes swim out, streams of light. Further bolts streak out as the streams dance about, harrying her foes, until the hole loses its coherence and denizens and their assault fade away to nothing.
Abode: Though she's not always there, Rene lives in a small house in the Forest of Magic, a single story, quiet-seeming place. However, those who tresspass often leave quickly, complaining of sounds and the feeling of being watched. Some claim they saw worse things, particularly in the basement below.
