Backstory

Yannic was a New Yorker from the Lower East Side, who worked as a part-time thief to make ends meet and pay for medications for her ailing single mother. Venting her frustrations through vandalism and street art, she became known as "the Tiger" for her trademark tag, going on escalating sprees as conditions at home became bleaker and bleaker. Eventually drawing too much attention to herself, she was arrested by the police and taken into custody after a lengthy chase through the city.

Ironically, her Quantum powers began to manifest after the excitement of being told she carried the latent Nova genes. Eventually released after some arrangements with the Aeon Society, both her and her mother were brought to Empyrea, where she is being tutored (and carefully watched) by some of the brightest minds in the world.
