Voram

The Voram Directorate is an unusual polity in many ways. Most notably, it is a autocracy which maintains the rule of law, a state in which sexual intercourse is illegal, and a nation ever preparing for its last stand against the Nyx.

National Traits (2)

Fair Dinkum Voram are immensely honorable and only rarely engage in deception. This is well known.

Implausibly Efficient Government In a nation of loyal soldiers and workers, corruption is a capital offense.

Flag-Wavers The Director must undergo four legendary tests before achieving his position, and he thus holds the confidence of all Voram citizens. When he speaks of the call to defend that which is good, true, and noble, all Voram stand with him.

Population Traits (3)

Cyberize! The Voram are almost defined by their cybernetics. There is literally no Voram citizen without cybernetics.

Mind-Machine Interface Similarly, Voram use direct mind linkages regularly

Heroic Age The Voram strive for honor and justice in all things. They have an air of idealism about them, despite the widespread knowledge of just how horrible war can be.

Not One Step Back! The Voram do not intend to evacuate Vorodera. They have invested a great deal of time and funds into building a defensive system to evaporate a potential black hole. Considering their stance against the Nyxians, their stubborn determination against humans is no surprise

Military Traits 1

Stracular Weapons All of the gravity weapon research has lead to rather insane exotic matter weapons.

Space Trenches HOLD THE LINE!

Technical Traits 1

Ghost in the Machine Voram make vast use of AI, sometimes finding the AI more a kindred spirit than procreating humans.

Physics Bender Anti-Nyxian weapons require insane guns and tactical mobility to bring them to bear.

National Flaws -3

Cult of: Anti-Sexuality The Voram find sex horribly repulsive. While people produced as the result of sex are treated respectfully, sexual acts on Vorodera are punishable by death. Voram and Spartans have a deep and abiding hatred of one another, and even a chance meeting usually results in bloodshed. Only distance prevents genocidal war.

No Child Policy A society stripped of sexual desire tends to reduce breeding to a minimal level. This also may deter Nyxian attack until the plan is ready.

Honorable to a Fault Deception is against Voram principles. No Voram warship uses stealth of any type - covert intelligence gathering is done separate from the military.
