Zodiac Outworlds Colony Union

ZOCU Flag

ZOCU dress uniforms

Londenium fulldress officer's uniform. Shoulder armor and gloves are distinctive to combat frame pilots

Being primarily defended by national forces from Earth, most ZOCU worlds had no military tradition until the Breakdown and the founding of ZOCU in the early 2160s. Due to this isolation and a conscious desire to not copy the military traditions of Earth, entirely new dress uniforms were designed. While some worlds like Kanon went with their own local uniforms, the majority of ZOCU worlds went with an outfit heavily influenced by Londinium fashion aesthetics, with a specific color chosen unique to each world, making any international meeting of ZOCU soldiers a decidedly colorful event.

Londenium: Mauve Taupe
Kanon: Maroon
Hampshire: Forest Green
Haraway's World: Medium Violet Red
Ithaca: Navy Blue
New Mercia: National Uniform
Choson: Coral
Transbaal: Sienna
Ophen: Goldenrod
Atlantis: Olive
Heaven's Shore: Dark Khaki
Nidaros: Steel Blue
ZOCU Unified Militia: Firebrick

ZOCU pilot suit in Unified Militias colors

Like ZOCU uniforms, ZOCU flight suits are typically of the pilot's national color, though 'International' units tend to use the ZOCU Unified Militia color scheme. Constructed out of multilayer spacesuit fabric, pilot suits are form-fitting and capable of protecting the wearer against vaccum, though they do not come with a large oxygen supply and not rated for long-term exposure to radiation.

PACT

PACT Multipurpose Skinsuit (Personal Protective Uniform, Level I)

File:PACTPilot.jpg
Basic dual-purpose flightsuit and shipboard fatigues, utilized PACT-wide.

Originally created in the late 2170s by the money-minded United States Military, these relatively simple and lightly-armored fatigues are utilized by troops and crew across nearly every PACT military. They are comprised of a "smart" muscle fiber, controlled by an onboard personal computer, which is capable of sealing off amptutated limbs and providing pressure to extremities during high-G maneuvers. Each suit is issued with a basic three-part sealable helmet (not pictured) containing a detachable rebreather, simple HUD, and a detachable communications headset. In contrast with USASF and USMC pilots and crew who wear the full helmet system at all times within the cockpit, USN crewmembers commonly wear only the communcations headset during non-hostile duty. They are, however, are expected to don the full helmet at alerts rated "Yellow" and above.

European Union

European Union Uniforms

European Union officer's uniforms. Despite popular belief, the iconic epaulettes are worn only by the highest ranks.

The vaguely anachronistic olive-green uniforms adopted by the European Union's forces in the early 22nd century are certain to be recognized just about anywhere in known space.

Being a egalitarian Union of many member-states some states have their own "national" uniforms while others have varients of the standard EU uniform.

Magnate Continuum

Magnate Flag, DNA Plus

Magnate uniforms

Synthesis officer's uniform. White Gloves distinctive to Mecha Pilots

Most Magnate militaries were and to some extent are, quite distinctive but during the Magnate war a unified command structure was made for Joint operations which has resulted in standarised uniforms across all Continuum worlds. Following ZOCU's lead, each world has it's own colour, though the overall uniforms remain black throughout.

Synthesis: Crimson
Principality: Blue
Eternal Dawn: Grey

Magnate Pilot Suits

Eternal Dawn flight combat suit.

Standard Magnate suit. Given the superhuman prowess of most Magnate pilots, the Magnate Continuum's pilot suits were had reduced G-support over most modern flight suits, to reduce space and cost, as the suit itself was equipped with a very sophisticated medical system due to the exotic medical needs of the various types of genetically-boosted or cybernetically modified pilots on show in the Continuum military. Armored against spalling and light shrapnel, with an exceedingly sophisticated medical diagnostics system, the suit also acted as an interface system for vehicular DNI systems if the pilot was so equipped. Aleph suits had increasingly sophisticated features, including an autoeuthanization and sterilization system which did not prevent the eventual reverse-engineering of the technology.

Similar to dress uniforms, the suit's secondary colors are changed according to nationality for identification, although the majority of the suit remains black.

Despite repeated initiatives the League has not managed to achieve a comparable degree of standardisation to the Core or even ZOCU. Military conferences feature a wide variety of designs, from Altan jackets to Minkowskan spacesuits.
