The Witch's House
The Witch's House
The Witch's House is a sprawling three-story European style mansion based on certain geomantic structures Kondou Yuu observed in England. The central structure of the building is more or less round, with other elements existing to obscure its unusual design. The house is built to surround a large glass conservatory which fills the centre of the house with other rooms around it. Most windows align with a prominent solar object and surrounded by imported English Bluestone, which is also used for many structural members throughout the building. The house is well insulated and energy efficient, with triple glazed windows and has a highly modern air conditioning system.
Since acquiring the house, Nozomi has had the windows reinforced to bullet resistant standards, and has replaced the internal and external doors with more secure, reinforced versions with automatic locks. These are tied to the house's central wards and can be unlocked by a force token or minor incantation.
The entire house is served by unseen servants, who will also pull occupants designated by the owner (Nozomi) out of the way of harm. It is protected by wards that detect the presence of anything outside and will warn of intrusion and may attack such if Nozomi orders. The house is commanded by an Alexis style interface and has a built-in sound system so Nozomi can listen to music whenever she wants, as well as turn on the radio, or control house functions.
Interior Decoration of the Witch's House
All rooms of the Witch's house are painted with unworldly, hauntingly beautiful scenes of fae looking English countryside, usually seen through an equally painted window. Between these "windows" and strange objects, such as [urns pouring smoke], crowns, swords in stone and fantastic beasts rampant. The ceilings are painted with views of starscapes or forest canopies. The paintings seem to shift over time, with scenes changing as the seasons advance, and additional figures entering and leaving.
Secrets of the Witch's House
- There are secret passages and ambush spots throughout the house, linking all parts of the house.
- Nozomi's magical texts and any manga she feels guilty for owning are behind false bookshelves, included in most libaries
- Through out the secret passages a number of human and animal skulls have been placed on plynths, looking precise directions.
- The house's internal dimensions do not match its exterior ones. It is bigger on the inside than the outside.
- It's possible to get lost in the forest in the central garden.
- The external grounds alway seem well tended (This is cause Nozomi actually hired a gardener).
