The newtype twins of Claritis Bura and Claritis Soyz are unique in the history of the Fifth Kingdom; while twins with newtype abilities that can communicate to each other telepathically have occasionally made themselves known, it seems that these two are unique in that they share a single consciousness. In effect, they have one mind spread between two bodies, a feat thought impossible according to mankind's current understanding of newtype abilities. In addition to this they exhibit powerful psychodriver potential.

Having been conceived and born onboard the ill-fated Discovery expedition twenty-one years ago to a cadet-branch princess and her husband the twins are semi-major nobility, though distant on the direct line of succession. Most of their lives was spent in Tesla City on the moon, with intermittent trips to the Chandelier, the Fifth Kingdom's capital colony. As typical for members of the royalty they were formally inducted into ARTEMIS at age seventeen, whereapon being theoretical impossibilities have not stopped them from making a name for themselves in royal circles and ARTEMIS and rapidly earning promotions to command ranks.
