Characters

Raia (Mal)

Personal Name: Raia Rasanen
Craft Name: Witch of House Keeping
Appearance
Short teenage girl. Older than she looks but not as old as her job. According to Gingerbread, there have been many previous Witches of House Keeping.

Background
It all started when she was a young girl who, exhibiting strong fate and magical signature, kept getting hired, tricked or kidnapped by witches who imprisoned her in their house. Every time she left a witch (dead), she would keep their house. Eventually, she was acknowledged as the Witch of House Keeping. This is not the same as the legendary Witch of Housekeeping with whom she is sometimes confused though she has, as a matter of living alone, become not bad at household chores herself.

Power
The power to Keep houses or Summon them from Elsewhere. She provides accomodations to young witches and repossesses the real estate of dead witches. Witches are an eclectic bunch and as such, her collection contains buildings ranging from ordinary huts to castles, large vehicles and space stations.

She is required to provide a specific house if requested by its previous owner's true name but of course does not offer this information to any young witch and instead tries to foist cheap or sketchy homes on new prospects.

Hat
Gingerbread is a witch hat of worn brown cloth with white X stitching forming a face. Most people are fairly sure it isn't actually made of gingerbread, though it looks and sometimes smells that way. (It opposes any attempts to confirm its taste.) It is much older than Raia and sometimes makes comments hinting at its great age when it's not busy being a pervert. It is intelligent and can talk and has minor telekinetic power - enough to use the hat tip as a tentacle or hop about in a clumsy way.

Elentra

Personal Name: Elentra Vanlal
Craft Name: Witch of Light
Appearence Looks twenty one, is actually twenty one. Appears to be a completely perfect mix of all races and groups. Wears white silk robes of a shear cut.

Background
Elenetra is the the eldest daughter of the Interfacer of the First Sun, the highest official of the Chrysanthemum meta civilization. The interfacer acts as an interface between the normal people of this civilization and the computers, conspiracies and posthuman goddesses that move things from behind the scenes. Elenetra is herself extremely augmented, and has manifested as the Witch of Light through ancient rituals.

Powers
The power to create, remove and manipulate light. She can strike people blind, become invisible, make objects see through, and create incredibly powerful laser beams at will.

Hat
Has a cool white hood thing on her silk outfit. Also lots of platinum jewelry, including a Tiara with a blue gem set into it. These are actually links to the various goddesses, computers and conspiracies she represents, and whisper secrets of the multiverse to her at all times.

Crisis

Personal Name: C. Livea Hellraiser
Craft Name: Witch of Chrysalis
Appearance: A preternaturally young albino dressed in street clothes, skin covered in criss-crossing geometric tattoos from the neck down.

Background
Livea began her life as an apprentice to Orianne Saudade, the Witch of Puzzles. Purchased at a slave market at a low price, the girl's expendability made her an easy choice for magical experiments. Her body was woven again and again with fault lines and enchantments to induce a variety of mutations, transforming her into a human puzzle box with portions of herself pressed into other dimensions. The agony of the processes that lead to this drove Livea mad, and drove her to devour her master along with the rest of her coterie. Only the intervention of [redacted] from another dimension returned her to sanity- the only solution as she could not be killed.

Powers
Crisis' abilities are an outgrowth of the experiments wrought upon her and the knowledge she absorbed by consuming many of her home world's native witches. She is able to use her multidimensional body to draw forth untold possible alternate configurations of herself- some human, monstrous or mechanical- but she lacks the ability to revert. The powers she gains from this are discard-and-draw, in general she will weakly retain most powers for 1-2 iterations after the first purposeful shift to obtain them, and so juggles three or so abilities at once. She is not properly immortal, but generally cycles at least one instance of "cannot be killed by X" or "regenerates from any injury in seconds" at a time.

Additionally, she may learn the memories of creatures she devours the flesh of.

Hat
Crisis' understated black cap provides human form and thought patterns to anything it is placed over- unless it is furniture specifically designed to hold hats.

「 」

Personal Name: 「 」
Craft Name: Witch of Absences
Nickname: Sans

Appearance:
A tall woman with sleepy-looking eyes and waist-long pink hair, clad in the absence of light. (in form of a very fancy witch dress) Actually wears a tracksuit underneath, but shhhh, don’t tell anyone. Or about all those pączki...

Background:
There was once a young girl who went missing so badly that everyone forgot that she existed. At first, the girl was in despair, but soon she realised that she was only going through the motions, and rather than a heart, there is nothing in her chest but a dark hole. Having attained understanding, she walked through it, to wander through the boundless cosmos, never to return home.

She also occasionally does part-time work as a magical girl midboss.

Power:
The nature of her power is Absence. Principally, it manifests as things turning out to be suspiciously absent, usually at worst times. All those incomplete pair of socks after one of them went mysteriously missing? That’s her.

This can also apply to more abstract things, such as words or feelings; it’s generally considered unhealthy to skip a line of your incantation when summoning an elder god of the eighteenth hell dimension, for instance. But if anyone asks, she was never even there.

Of some note is her application of her magic to her name; in effect, her true name is gone. Since 「 」is pretty awkward to use, however, she goes by “Sans” nowadays.

Hat:
A vantablack replica of a classic witch hat. The exact relationship with 「 」’s magic is unclear, but she can pull out suspiciously absent things from it. They have accumulated rather harshly over the years, however, so the actual results can be pretty mixed. So to speak.

This does mean that there’s an elder god of the eighteenth hell dimension somewhere in there, among other things. He turned out to actually be a bro, though, and sometimes helps 「 」out on her midboss gigs in his void miniwhale (of doom) form.

November

Personal Name: Eponymous
Craft Name: Witch of November
Appearance
An ageless women with ice-white skin, eyes as cold as the heart of a glacier and hair like jetstreams. She has four pigtails, each of which floats independently of the rest of her hair and occasionally miniature arcs or sheets of lighting illuminate them.

Background
With enough belief, anything is possible. Mariner's and farmer's supersition of the annual storms eventually gave body and mind to the Witch of November. After centuries the storm spirit was officially invited to the Coven of Witches.

Power
The power to control winds and the weather. In her element she can wreck havoc across continents by creating cyclones and similar storms, though this is not to be done casually or instantly.

Hat
A tall, brimless shako with ornate eagle detailing, a momento and item of respect gifted from General Winter after a collaboration some decades previously. With it she can expect respect from any member of the military.
