Background

Born to a ex-noble family as second daughter, Lillian wasn't given much thought or concern about by her powerful and wealthy parents outside of potential marriage picks. Being left to her own device s and funds, when she finished school, she commissioned a expedition into the mountains to search for Apocalypse Age artifacts. She then discovered her Man-Machine and taking a chance to get ahead and control her own life and be something other then second Armstrong daughter, she forced her way into the cockpit and imprinted herself on the machine and eagerly took up the volunteer uniform when the government found out about her and her amazing machine the Cavalier.

Georgianna Rhors de Sand

Pressured future family head.

Coming from a line of land-holding elites from Luzianna Georgianna's branch two generations back was forced from their homeland due to political disputes. Disputes that ended violently with the extinction of the Luzianna line but not of its claim to the throne. As eldest scion of the Sand Family it was natural for Georgianna to be given the first chance for imprinting in order to furnish the means for the family to regain some of its glory. Georgianna's fairly happy to protect Appalachia through her military service and considers herself a professional. (Doesn't have a drinking problem).

Kingmaker

Dug up in the east wasteland owned by the de Sand Family (won via a game of cards) during prospecting expeditions shortly after the last war the machine dubbed "Kingmaker" spent a great deal of time being refurbished and armed. A suitibly large cannon was eventually procured. The machine accepted Rhors as its pilot.

Louis Edward Airey

Horse Gas Mask.jpg
Cold and aloof cavalry officer

Though son of an Appalachian military family, Louis and his elder sister actually spent most of their early lives in North Dixie where his father was working as an embassy attache, even graduating at the top of his class as a lieutenant in the 10th Royal Hussars. He resigned his commission to join the Appalachian army where his superiors felt him to be insufferably arrogant and - the worst sin of all - a bitterly outspoken critic. Captain Airey was shuffled off to escort engineer companies along the frontiers looking for man-machines, as deliberate an attempt to kill his career as they came. They found one.

Man Machine: |Dreadnot
The man-machine discovered invited many to comment that its design was almost reminiscent of a warship. Discovered without any armaments save a sabre, it was proposed that the Man-machine be armed with a naval rifle prototyped for the aborted battlecruiser Dreadnought. On hearing of it, Airey's only comment was a sarcastic, "I suppose we shall have to name it the Dread-not then." To his chagrin he awoke to find that the engineers had stenciled precisely that along its flank.

George Creastfeild

Adventurer Scholar

Growing up in Hudson, George developed a fascination with the pre-Apocalypse Age. After spending years crawling around in the ruins of Hudson he developed a number of theories and began traveling Noamerica to test them out. He has developed something of a minor reputation ranging from up and coming scholar to intrepid grave robber depending on the company. His thirst for knowledge has led him to Appalachia to seek contacts and funding for his travels. George ultimately hopes to make a full circuit of Noamerica, Suramerica, the Carib and eventually Europe and publish his findings.

"That boy is our only lech..." "No. There is another."

Kathrine Mably

The Woman Who Makes (Disaster) History

Malby.jpg

OVA #2 Bio: Kathrine Mably is the adopted daughter of Field Marshal Alexander Mably, and as was expected of her from a young age she followed in his footsteps to join both the Appalachian Army and the secretive Augustan Society. Unsurprisingly for the heir to a military family with no shortage of patrons, she rose through the ranks without incident while working with the regular forces in the field and at headquarters in Piedmont. It seemed that nothing would hinder her career arc until her appointment as commander of the 1st Irregulars, a newly formed unit that would soon be directed into a string of misadventures followed by outright disaster. Following a failed attempt to seek transfer to a regular unit on the Confederate border in the wake of the Tragedy of Clevelen, Mably traveled south with the 1st and it appears that despite her personal misgivings she will continue on with the unit to find out what fate Luzianna holds for them.
