Operation Blue Bird

Encryption: Kai, Ray, Decima. Top Secret work document: Do not distribute. Objective: Capture the wormhole systems and deny them to the rebel forces.

Concept of Operations: Using a Captured Jardin ship, infiltrate the wormhole storage system facility and extract the wormhole ships before rebel or Jardin forces can make use of them.

Conduct of Operation:

1: carefully scout the Bastion system and surrounding sector. The Jardin vessel along with the cruiser Scheherazade and several decoy rifter vessels will be hidden within a converted large commercial transport, which will act as the mission's mothership.

2A: Intelligence assets will as much as possible set up the idea in the minds of the rebel officers that a Jardin team is attempting to move into the bastion sector
2B: officers previously close to the arch-traitor Mugombe will communicate him the idea that a Imperial forces are preparing to launch a mass nuclear attack on a rebel held world near the Bastion sector. Given Mugombe's psychology, it should be possible to draw off the area's mobile assets to defend this world. The "target" should be selected to draw the enemy fleet as far from the wormhole complex as possible.

3:The Jardin ship, preferably a fast cruiser or other that might be used for courier work will be carried within a disguised bay of a large commercial transport heading for the area around Bastion. When it gets close, it will detach, possibly along with certain rifter craft. The 'Jardin' ship will fake having been attacked by Imperial forces, report heavy damage and demand to land at the wormhole facility as an act of mercy.

4: Once inside, troops aboard the Jardin vessel will infiltrate, then storm, the base, and prep all wormholes for shipment out.

5: The Scheherazade, and any support assets that can be assembled through local rifts or covert insertion will blow a hole in the surrounding forts with its gravity cannon, allowing the wormhole vessels to transit out system

6: Then how do we cross the lines? Think Tahminah. Think.
