The Union of Europa is a supranational Union of the Roman Imperium, Republic of Rus, Kingdom of Armenia and the Greater Georgian Republic and one of the major powers of the Sol System.

It was formed in the aftermath of the World War of 1939-1947. Some trace the Union of Europa even further back to 634 and the Battle of Ajnadayn, when a Roman Army under Theodore a brother of Emperor Heraclius crushed the Army of the Rashidun Caliphate, leading to it's collapse in subsequent decades and ensuring the dominance of Christianity over the levant. The defeat of the Caliphate is considered widely instrumental in the survival of the Christian faith and that of the Roman people.

Having risen alongside the European Union in the aftermath of the World War, the Union of Europa is considered to be it's conservative counterpart. Many would go further though and instead describe the Union as a polite fiction to hide the fact that it's members are client states of the Roman Imperium which dominates the other member states, economically and culturally. The Roman people themselves certainly, consider them themselves much like the Patriarch of Constantinople "Primus inter pares" (First among equals).

Whilst Western Europe has become a liberal, multicultural beacon of liberty and tolerance it is much different in the Union. The Orthodox Church still holds a strong sway among the people in the Union and the Emperor of the Romans is considered the Protector of the Church. Whilst democratic, human rights are not universal especially in regards to religion and bio-conservative and other "out-dated" attitudes persist.

Nevertheless the Union was one of the pioneers of Space, with the Roman Quintus Alexopoulos being the first man in space though they were beat by the United States of America to the moon by a month.
