Customization

The existing stat lines are now the Baseline design, the most common class of that type in the national Navy and exemplary of doctrinal predilections. However, there are many different classes of ship in every category, and this system will allow you to represent them.

You can swap up to 8 points on the Baseline design for every variant design.

Costs

Spinal Cannon: 6 points
Vector Lasers: 1 point
  • Hull Type 0 can convert Vector Lasers to Heavy Lasers for free.
Other Weapons: 2 points
  • AM Accelerator: 3 points
Armor: 2 points for each unit of Shields added.
Shield: 1 point for each unit of Shields added.
Hull: 2 for 1 point
Acceleration: 2 points
Batteries: 2 for 1 point
Capacitors: 1 point
E-War: (Under construction)
AEWACs: Short for "Aerospace Early Warning and Aerospace Control", these add more extensive communication arrays, and a command staff.

Templates

Additionally there are templates that create customization.

Flagship/Experimental: +14 upgrade points
First Line: +8 upgrade points
Second Line: Baseline
Reserve: No modernizations OR -5 customization points
STL/Dragoon: +1 to Hull Type (can stack with another template)
Only First Line ships can take:

Upgrades

Can only be taken with Upgrade points.

Plasma Gun Battery:
  • [Small 2] 1 point
  • [Large 5] 6 pts
Low Observation Hullform: 3 pts
Fortress Projector: 4 pts
Improved Shields: 1 point for each unit of Shields added.
Superheavy Plating: Convert existing armor to Superheavy Plating. Costs 4 points.
Upengine:
  • +1 Acceleration for 2 points
  • +2 Acceleration for 3 points
  • +3 Acceleration for 6 points
Rifter EW: (+1/+5 to EW) 3 pts
Spinal Cannon Improvement: 2 points

Modernizations

Major Powers

(+) Baseline Battleships are now base Acceleration 3 and have ER vector lasers.
(+) +2 Acceleration and ER vector lasers for all other Baseline ships.

Jardin Republic

(+) Elite units have access to Rifter technologies.
(+) Jardini Baseline ships may convert their AM armament to Plasma 1:1 at no cost.

(+) Elite units have access to Rifter technologies.
(+) Elite units have to 1st Gen Dysjunction Drive (tactical and strategic warp) (+) Lasers or Lances can be converted to AMGs 1:1 for free. (+) Self-Healing Armor

Free Star League

(+) Elite units may have access to 1st Gen Dysjunction Drive (tactical and strategic warp)

CoDominium

(+) CoDominium forces have blanket access to almost all known upgrades but are not Modernized by default. (-) 1st Gen Dysjunction Drive

Commonwealth

(+) Baseline Battleship equivalents are now base Acceleration 3
(+) +2 Acceleration for all other Baseline ships.
