General Mecha / Spaceship Technology

Spaceships and combat frames can travel near the speed of light with their LIRD drives active, though even mecha lose a lot of maneuverability. LIRD drives in the passive mode act as inertial dampeners, causing considerable disruption to EM sensors as a byproduct. As a consequence, any LIRD equipped vessel relies on close range targeting. A capital ship can use a special transmitted to send signals through the distortion, or use a Entanglement system (aka the Blue Box) to instantly transmit a signal.

Space warships use a mix of heavy railguns and particle accelerators. Lasers are commonly used to swat down torpedoes and missiles, but generally the distortion makes them less useful against frames. Missiles typically are salvo-fired or torpedoes with intelligent targeting that can reacquire the target at close range. Nuclear weapons are particularly vulnerable to interception thanks to the neutron pulse gun, a weapon capable of prematurely detonating nuclear bombs. Antimatter bombs are immune to this disruption, but are rare. Think of Gundam/Ace Combat nukes for their effect.

Frame weapons tend to focus on railguns and gauss rifles. Railguns tend towards a cannon or sniper role, while gauss rifles provide rapid fire. Clip-fed HV bazookas shoot a micro-torpedo that is the main weapon for anti-capital ship assaults. Mecha also have been known to carry ECM, Decoy, Drone, or swarm missiles pods. As for melee weapons, each faction uses its own signature weapons, usually plasma or vibroblade weapons.

Aramazd

Aramazd generally have avoided humanoid frames, except for Observers. Observer units are usually highly customized, often making use of antimatter warheads, relying on the ample production of antimatter on Mercury to supply them. The Aramazd are widely believed to have an unassailable homeworld defense grid and solar laser array, probably including IPCMs.

Terran-Lunar Federation

The TLASF relies on fairly conventional technology with the exception of smart materials. These remain a major component of the Frames they deploy, letting them dominate atmospheric engagements. They generally use more ECM over armor Their warships lean toward torpedoes and railcannons, with dedicated carriers. The TLASF maintains several IPCM batteries on Luna as a strategic deterrent, but this is the only use of antimatter weaponry they acknowledge.

Martian Imperium

Imperial Navy units have a focus on armor, melee weapons, and funnels, though they do not neglect gauss machine guns. They are the originators of high grade psionic controlled drones, called 'funnels' in popular terminology. These typically use lasers weaponry, as particle weapons are just too large. They make use of hangarized warships with ample particle accelerator turrets.

Outer Planets League

League vessels have relied on high-power fusion reactors to power pulse particle guns. Their frames have incredible mobility and firepower, and they sometimes use psionic systems for the not-insignificant number of Martian defectors.
