Ryan knows that it goes further than that - organization of sounds can transmit extremely complex ideas, just by the very patterns. What's more, all things are a product of and producer of sound, and through arranging it into music, one can change another, or the world. Examples of sirens luring ships to their doom with mesmerizing music, and ancient gods singing the world into being (or being swayed by Orpheus on his quest to regain his love) only reinforce that music has a real, tangible power. The proper sounds, arranged in different ways, can alter how a person perceives reality, or can carry their thoughts into the air on unrelated words - or echo their histories across time. As he devises more potent songs, he might even be able to move the body into physically changing, or even inanimate objects.

The Everpresent Sound: Music is everywhere, and everything. The basest of sounds converge, sometimes seemingly randomly, in order to produce wonderful melodies, just as a song from across the world can still move someone who has no connection to the culture it was made in.. This sounds permeates all vibration and emanations – life, movement, and thought are are parallel to it.

Merits (4)

Acute Sense 1 - Hearing. He has an ear for everything.

Aptitude 1 – Performance. He is just that good of a musician.

Oracular Ability 3 – His connection to the Song grants him a waking ability to see portents and the future, even without tapping into the Dream for guidance.

Flaws (6)

The Bard's Tongue 1 – The power of the Sound is that all things are affected by it. Even the simplest things can echo and set off events that can destroy the world. Ryan's connection to the Song makes his voice manifest this power, even without his intent.

Mistaken Identity 1 – He is not Orpheus, the Greek poet and musician who could traverse the lands of death to bring back his wife. While he often uses Orphic beliefs as his

Ineptitude 1 – Stealth. It's just so difficult for a man who bases his entire existence on sound to be quiet.

Conditional Magic 3 – Deaf People. People who are denied the ability to feel sound, while still able to feel vibrations, lose enough faculty that Ryan's magic doesn't take with them. They cannot be directly affected by his power.
