- The path of Warding repels spirits. Reijou's school is associated with the spirits of the dead, and is effective against ghosts but at +1 or more difficulty vs. other types of spirit.
- Ghost Touch: The sorcerer's ofuda or other ritual items can touch ghosts across the kekkai. In particular, ofuda they make can be used by others to touch ghosts.
- Exorcism: Ghosts occupying a place, person or object can be forced out or suppressed. If the relevant torment is not resolved this will likely only be temporary. The sorcerer rolls contested willpower against the ghost and must accumulate variable successes depending on the strength of the attachment. If they have the time and means to perform a ritual with Esoterica, they can reduce the difficulty on the willpower roll.
- Banning: A ban that excludes ghosts can be set up around a particular area by properly placing ofuda or other ritual tools. For an open space this may require a ring of ofuda, but enclosed spaces can normally be warded on the thresholds. The sorcerer rolls Esoterica with some appropriate attribute to perform the banning ritual. An intruding ghost must accumulate the same number of successes on a Willpower roll against a difficulty of the sorcerer's Willpower to intrude.
