Overview
Stubbornly clinging to their storm-ravaged world, the remaining citizens of Novaya Zemlya continuously struggle to repair the damage done to their planet during the First Space War. They have been joined on their wasteland planet by a large number of veteran New Orenburg mobile suit troops and engineers, along with the odd opportunist looking to make a fortune out in the wastelands amongst the ruins of the colony's wrecked cities and terraforming complexes. Visitors are advised not to leave the safety of the endless concrete sprawl of the City complex.
While the war gave Novaya Zemlya its independence, it did not give it security or prosperity. As the clouds of war seemingly gather again, the planet's military and civilian leaders look ever further afield for new ways to guarantee the safety of their planet. Whatever happens, the average remaining Novaya Zemlyans have withstood unthinkable hardship and suffering on a global scale and are prepared to defend their beloved planet to the last.
