Bio:

The real Indiana Jones! Well, maybe not quite; for one thing, Martin Collins isn't American, doesn't have a fear of snakes, and couldn't use a whip to save his life. Born at the turn of the 20th century, Martin became involved with the Ponatowski Foundation in the early 1930s, when it became clear that he was Inspired. This, mostly, is why he hasn't aquired the reputation of being a simple tomb robber like his protege, Melissa Flint.

After fighting in WW2- mostly, it has to be said, in foiling various wierd and terrible plans cooked up by the nazi Inspired in the Deutsches Ahnenerbe – Studiengesellschaft für Geistesurgeschichte, something that made him a number of enemies who lived on after the war- Collins returned to a life of exploration, adventure, and combat archeology. Unfortunately, as the number of Inspired dwindled, such activities became more and more difficult.

Collins himself remained active and relatively youthfull through the use of a cache of age retarding drugs a colleague and friend manufactured for him during WW2, although said friend, unfortunately, did not survive the war. As a result, he has lived on long after most of the other Inspired have died off, excepting, perhaps, some of his old enemies, who he has reason to believe might still exist in hiding somewhere.

Alas, no supply of drugs lasts for ever if there is no replacement, and his stockpile was exhausted over 20 years ago. As a result, while he is still fit and healthy for a man his apparent age, he is too old to easily participate in scientific or archeological expeditions, and must content himself with desk work. He still maintains an extensive network of contacts and favours, however, and is still a formidable foe in a bar fight.
