Biography
Cara's Master and Mentor, Josephine Mordant is a Magistratus of the Order of Hermes, one of the Seven Magistrati of House Quaesitor who execute capital sentences and swear in Quaesitor initiates. Mordant's age is unknown, but she remembers events such as the Reformation, and the last Emperor of the House of Hapsburg. Although not the most powerful of the Magistrati, Mordant is at once one of the most wise, and the most feared. She was the Magistratus that swore in Cara. Statuesque rather than attractive, Josephine Mordant is a cold and terrifying woman, bound to the law and the service of the Houses of Hermes, and woe to those who stand in her way.
