Lore (Junya)

1: Junya is the proprietor and lead designer of J-to-Me, an up and coming clothing shop in Ginza ward. It sells quality off-the-rack and bespoke at affordable prices.
2: Junya is Italian-trained, having spent five years in Milan apprenticing under Ciriaco Ermes Peviani, a reputable bespoke tailor with a background in 80s street fashion. In turn, Peviani's niece Luce is apprenticing under Junya.
3: Junya is a branch member of the Gekkōtsuka Clan, a wealthy family heavily involved in the Japanese textile industry particularly in the trade of ahimsa silk. Western trends surging towards ethical consumption have fattened their corporate coffers.
4: Junya is known as a cleaner, an unaffiliated contractor who will deal with paranormal phenomenon in and around Ginza for a nominal fee. He has regular contacts in the Ginto-kai, a minor yakuza organization that operates in the ward, as well as the MPD branch in Ginza.
5: Junya is the first awakened magi the Gekkōtsuka have produced in over 150 years. He is locked in a cold war with its masters, the immortal priests of the lunar moth deity Tsukiakariga-no-Kami and has been denied access to solidarity with mainstream onmyoji organizations due to their maneuvering.

Luce Peviani bani Verditus
Italian, justifiably blonde (expensive bleach job) and 20. Skilled in the Path of Alchemy and a decent tailor, her most important talents to Junya are being good-mannered and attractive for clients. Niece of Ciriaco Ermes Peviani and a Hermetic-in-training, who has come to Japan to change her headspace and pursue awakening on her own terms. Moreover she's something of a weaboo and loves anime culture and cosplay.

Yamasaki Ichiro
A middle-aged criminologist with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, who works in the archives. Previously worked as an investigator but was given a desk job after correctly accusing a young but connected kuei-jin of being the culprit behind a series of gruesome murders. A single father who went to J-to-Me to get his son's suit for his coming of age ceremony and determined Junya's associations with the supernatural after he expressed some knowledge of his case. He passes him unsolved cases with supernatural culprits and in turn suppresses his appearance in public records.
Lilitu-sensei a.k.a. Sarah Blackthorne
An expatriate American Cainite vampire who works as an acclaimed doujinshi artist and head of CIRCLE BLOOD, drawing mostly hardcore hetero monstergirl-themed works. Not very old or powerful, but her obscurity and inoffensive feeding habits limit her involvement in KJ-Cainite politicking. As a Ventrue, her feeding restriction is male virgins.

Kodai Ryu
The earnest yet hotheaded young chairman of the Ginto-kai, a Ginza-based Yakuza organization. An orphan who made waves three years ago when his mentor suddenly converted to Buddhism to live as a monk, handing him control of his organization. After being betrayed by his lieutenants, he cut a bloody path that lives in on infamy in the stories told of Ginza ward. Despite being a chairman he has tendency to become personally involved in fights. His suits are nearly always bespoke from J-to-Me.

Gekkotsuka Rin
The most promising sorcerer of the main-branch Gekkotsuka family, groomed by the priests of the lunar moth and bestowed many magickal treasures. Despite being limited to static magic by her education she is a prodigy and the result of superb breeding with advance specs in every category of being. A cool beauty, considered one of the the Four Heavenly Queens of Sotei Gakuen. Dislikes top-heavy girls as westernized.

A large colony of lunar moth silkworms have diverted a previously stagnant flow of quintessence flowing through a Ginza shopping arcade. Their powder gives the arcade a beautiful atmosphere at night and gives a strong sense of longing and mono no aware on full moons with clear skies. They breed in such numbers that various by-products of their life-cycle can be formed into a reliable supply of Tass.
  • Coaxing the moths into quick pupation creates too-little cocoon to make silk, instead creating an abundance of Lunar Dust with Dynamic (Longing) resonance.
  • Allowing the moths to pupate normally creates Raw Lunar Moth Silk with Pattern (Elegant and Resilient Beauty) resonance.
  • Varying the diet of the lunar silkworms can potentially create raw silk with other resonances.
Wonder 7// Oni-kosaku (鬼鋼索), Fetish (Gnosis 6)
Razor wire that coils itself around Junya's fingers in the form of several rings. The wire is composed of purified lunar silk soaked in a non-aqueous solution of colloidal silver, giving it a brilliant metallic finish. It houses a bound oni known as Ressho-shahzada, the Queen of Laceration. After overcoming her brutal lessons during a journey through the Umbra, Junya bound her into one of his major combat foci and created a powerful fetish. She continues to communicate to him in her own way, hoping to someday break free.
  • Acts as brass knuckles (Str +2B, dif 6) or a whip-like garrote (Dex +3L damage). Counts as silver versus werewolves, and something from Jigoku for other supernaturals.
  • Improves attacks on targets that do not have hardened soak (i.e.: tanks, mecha, etc), but only when used for non-standard attacks (clinching), called shots or particularly egregious violence.
  • Invisible to anybody that isn't the user, though it is possible to perceive them with other senses or to catch the glimmer of blood on the wires.
  • Ban: Violence must bear my aesthetics. Killing must be absolute, with the body or mind of the enemy reduced to ribbons. Submission must be humiliating, their clothing obliterated. It is good too that blood flows.
