Premise

In the middle of the proud kingdom of Crondar, away from any major roads or rivers lies the village of Aldre, your home. It is a mean, small, and thoroughly unappealing place where you have been forced to spend the last almost two decades of your existence. None of you have ever fit in and now

Setting

You know little about the world, save that it is vast and there are many strange and beautiful lands that you have not seen. Aesthetically it is a somewhat anime fantasy realm.

System

This is a standard d10s system. You only get 2 fate per session though.

Tasks are performed by adding a base stat to a skill. What skill and stat are added together is mostly up to the player. For instance a particularly charming priestess might roll gnosis + charisma to cast magic, while a physically inclined wizard might direct her arete by punching with strength + arete.

You begin with 1 in every stat and may put 5 points into any stats you wish.

You also gain one bonus trait. This is a trait that describes something special about you. When you perform a task in line with a trait you gain a minus one difficulty reduction (so succeed on 5s, not 6s).

Non-Combat Skill

You begin with 8 points of skills unrelated to combat. This includes reading, singing, etc.
You begin with 4 points of combat unrelated magic. This maybe gnosis or arete or split between the two. It cannot be used for anything combat related, but can be used for utility tasks.

You begin with 1 in each combat skill and may then divide 3 more points up between them. You may also have 2 points of speciality. These effect across all combat stats.

=Magic=

FBH Fantasia is a world saturated with magic. Everyone knows at least a bit. Magic is subdivided into various forms. To begin with you have two aptitudes per type, which determine what your magic can be used for and how it manifests.

Physical

Seemingly mundane things you do really well. Aptitudes: Grace, power, other physical aspects or specific physical feats.

Arete

Arete is the magic of mages, and works without subordinating oneself to spirits of any type.

Black: Chaotic and entropic
White: Purification and order
Red: wisdom, synthesis and excellence
Yellow: Power, consciousness and spirituality

Gnosis

Gnosis summons the aid of powerful spirits and your personal faith to your aid. Generally borrowed power is weaker than Arete, but the aid of a spirit is more flexible and tailored.

One God: You pray to one powerful diety.
Many Gods: You pray to many different gods.
Spirits Everywhere: You pray to a host of spirits.
Personal Faith: You summon your own inner strength and Faith.

You begin without any items that give bonuses as you are poor starting adventurers. However as you progress you will gain items with further and further stat bonuses that augment your performance.
