Name: Emilio Cortez
Character Concept: Troubled Priest

Description: Emilio’s childhood was never stable. He rarely saw a new town more than a year or two, as his mother moved again and again in fear of Emilio’s psychotic father. A thoughtful child, he read often despite his lack of stable education. However, his mother’s continuous movements took them to some very dangerous locales.

After becoming a priest in an attempt to gain stability, Emilio erupted during a gang-related attack on his church. The Erupting gave him supernatural beauty and social acumen, as well as psychic powers to control others. He may have other powers, as well.

Emilio's personality has changed from that of a quiet, somewhat shy priest to a social butterfly, often smiling and carousing with others. So far, he has kept his Nova nature from being publicly known. He has joined the Chimera Unit, a Canadian nova organization, and has mostly operated in disguise, primarily as the escort service mogul, Allistair Monte. He also took the guise of Estavan Coglio, former army intelligence who wanted to avenge his sister's death at the hands of novas, in order to enter a mercenary hideout.
