The Duchy of Tileas was founded with the signing of the treaty of Seta and the granting of independence to the Noblesse who ruled over a group of star systems bound to the Tileas system by trade and defense agreements.

Present Day: The Duchy has undergone a great deal of growth and stabilization, managing to largely rebuild their worlds after the damage done throughout the course of the Foundation War. The Duchy has trade treaties with several regional and local nations as well as an open borders and active trade alliance with the Swabian League. As a part of their agreements with the Swabians the Tileasian government purchases all of their warships from Swabia as well as a great deal of equipment for the armies.

Culture: The Tileas culture closely resembles that of the SCG pre-collapse. The vast bulk of the populace of the duchy is “peasants” with few rights and fewer opportunities for improvement in their lives. The Yeomanry class is generally the middle class of citizen which is the class made up of wealthy merchants and other wealthy individuals that are otherwise not “landed” like the noble class.
All land, territory and orbital habitats are parceled out to the nobility with practically no oversight on how each noble runs their estates and treats the people that live there.

Military: There is no single military force in the Duchy as each noble owns and operates private military forces. The current most powerful House fleets belong to the houses of Tileas and Madrast which maintain and operate twelve of the seventeen battleships in Tileas space as well as substantial support forces. The most powerful house army belongs to House Sforza with two million men and women under arms at all times.
