Urdet

Terraced Hills

  • 2 Food, 50G
  • 1 Common Draft
  • Defensible
  • Adamantium, Gold
  • 10 points

Named after the Goddess of the Past in the old Elder Polytheism, the province of Urdet was settled and created in the early years of the Imperium. Over the years, cultivation with a healthy dose of magical assistance has turned Urdet Province into a principal food production center. While there are land paths to the Olympic Valley, most transport and trade is conducted via Skyship.

Vertha

Terraced Hills

  • 1 Food, 250G, 250A
  • 2 Common Draft
  • Defensible
  • Adamantium, Gold
  • 1 Adamantium Mine
  • 1 Town
  • 30 points

Vertha Province was created at the same time as Urdet Province, in the early Imperium. Like her sister province, Vertha also became a food production center. With the establishment of Nova Atlantia and an Adamantium mine during the mid-Imperium, Vertha Province represented the strategic and political center of the eastern portion of Avalonian civilization. Vertha maintains this role even in the current Republic. A production center for food and Adamantium, Vertha sees heavy Skyship traffic on a daily basis. Some speculate that it a few centuries, Nova Atlantia may eventually become a city in its own right.

Midgarth

Countryside

  • 2 Food, 100G
  • 3 Common Draft
  • Horses
  • 10 points

Midgarth was only recently re-settled in the wake of the Necromatic War. In the century since however, it has become a critical supplier of food for the rest of the Imperium. Despite this, the population of the province remains scattered across a handful of small idyllic villages. Wild horses roam through the fields, and as of yet, no plans have been made to tame them.

Valhalla

Countryside

  • 2 Food, 100G
  • 3 Common Draft
  • Horses
  • 10 points

Like Midgarth, Valhalla Province was only recently re-settled in the wake of the Necromatic War. And like her sister province, Valhalla also supplies a large amount of food. The result trade with Avalon creates a large amount of wealth for the sparse settlements that dot the Penelopean Fields. Like Midgarth, Valhalla's horses are wild and free.

Olympia

Mountains

  • -5 Food, 1050G, 250M, 250A, 10L, 80B
  • 6 Common Draft, 1 Noble Draft
  • Very Defensible
  • Adamantium, Levistone, Gold (costs double)
  • 1 Adamantium Mine
  • 1 Levistone Mine
  • 1 Wizard's Tower
  • 1 City
  • 85 points

The Province of Olympia represents the very heart of the Avalonian Republic. Resting within the Olympic Valley, which itself is nestled between two giant Olympic peaks, lies the crown jewel of Avalonian civilization. The city of Avalon was established four hundred years before the Imperium and has served as a capital city since Imperial times. Hidden by blizzards and protected by tall mountains, Avalon has never been successfully invaded by enemy forces. While Olympic Valley is habitable and even pleasant during some parts of the year, the soil is only barely arable. As a result, Avalon must import food from all over the empire to sustain its populace.

Rich deposits of Adamantium and Levistones have given rise to various mines critical in the production of Avalon's skyships and weaponry. Trade within the empire inevitably comes to Avalon and the city has grown rich through the millenia. Also among other landmarks stands the notable Tower of Avalon, seat of the Council of Archmages. The Tower is the highest structure in Avalon and overlooks the vast city.

Niflheim

Underdark Lightfield

  • -4 Food, 750G, 625M, 30B
  • 7 Common Draft, 1 Noble Draft
  • Defensible
  • Adamantium, Gold
  • Underhold
  • 70 points

If Olympia Province represents the capital of Avalonian civilization, Niflheim Province would represent the cradle of Avalonian civilization. The underdark city of Asgarth was the first Avalonian city constructed by the Avalonians. A major source of not only Mana and gold, Asgarth is also critical to the construction and maintenance of the Avalonian Navy. The Jotuunheim and Folkvanger shipyards are located near the city. Completed skyships often make their maiden voyages to the outside world through several well camouflaged fissures within the underdark lightfield leading to the surface of the mountain.

Altera

Mountains

  • 168G, 1250M, 250A, 10L, 60B
  • Very Defensible
  • Adamantium, Levistone, Gold (costs double)
  • 1 Adamantium Mine
  • 1 Levistone Mine
  • 1 Wizard's Tower
  • 1 Earth Node
  • 85 points

Altera Province is the primary resource depot within the Republic. Located high in the Olympic Mountains north of Avalon, Altera provides key resources such as Adamantium and Levistones. In additional, a magical Earth Node provides additional gold, gems, and mana for use by the Republic's mages.

Also located in Altera is the headquarters for the Guild of Mages, in the Tower of Altera. With expansion of the Republic continuing at a breakneck pace in recent years, Altera sees extensive skyship traffic and trade, bringing a modes income to the province.
