Coalition of Nations
Concept: Shoggoth North Korea
Population: Rank 0 (0)
- Regretfully, routine traitor elimination protocols have left the population reserves of the Coalition somewhat exhausted.
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: nuclear bombs are quite effective at riot control, but come with their own problems!
Transhumanism: Rank 4 (6)
- Great scientific progress of the most splendid Coalition of Nations has led to a fundamental change in human nature. No longer bound by the limitations of human form, a modern CON citizen qualifies as a partially-transformed S-class entity, also known as a "Shoggoth", granting freedom from biological death and much increased strenght and personal flexibility, able to easily connect to advanced machinery and even grow additional appendages if there is such need. With higher ranks and proven loyalty, further enhancements are possible! Of course, some people initially complained about the disturbing nature of their new forms, about how they would no longer be able to breed with baseline humans, about the supposedly deleterious effect it has on conventional morality and sanity... some people also discovered that baseline human forms are very poor at surviving large doses of radiation.
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: nowadays, we have to pour our troops into their vehicles. They remind me of coffee.
Infrastructure: Rank 3 (3)
- Advanced underground hives that house the populace of the Coalition are also massive industrial complexes, within which even the enormous juggernauts can be produced, thanks to the incredibly advanced technology involved. At the moment, the spaceborne facilities are slightly lacking, but they are being expanded as we speak to prepare the Coalition for the new challenges it is going to face in the Nexus.
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: as it turned out, the space colonies were full of traitors as well. Who would have thought?
Growth Potential: Rank 1 (0)
- Regretfully, routine traitor elimination protocols have left the geographic reserves of the Coalition somewhat exhausted as well.
- USHAKOV helpful note of the day: in retrospect, we probably should have used less cobalt bombs those last few dozen times.
Military Support: Rank 1 (1)
- Although every true citizen will serve the needs of the State without a second thought, the lack of external enemies has led to significant downsizing of Coalition of Nations Army Navy and readjusting its priorities towards the supression of traitors and saboteurs, instead of heavy combat.
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: What could possibly go wrong?
Space Fleet: Rank 2 (2)
- Despite those changes, CONAN remains a potent fighting force, with many highly advanced and powerful combat units at its disposal, ready to defend its territory from any potential agressors that would threaten CON citizens.
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: did you know that average daily death rate is higher in administered hives than in most war zones?
Diplomacy: Rank 0 (0)
- Coalition remains open to the prospect of forging strong diplomatic ties with other nations it might encounter in the Nexus.
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: it remains far more open, however, to the prospect of shooting them in the face and taking all of their belongings.
Espionage: Rank 1 (1)
- Coalition of Nations is invulnerable to any attempts to undermine its glorious society by despicable traitors and saboteurs!
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: this might come as a surprise, but incoherent psychopathy does not work as a suitable substitute for actual competence during intelligence operations.
General Advancement: Rank 2 (8)
- The technology of Coalition of Nations is truly peerless in its excellence.
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: which would probably mean more if it has ever actually encountered a peer to compare with.
Unique Technology: Rank 4 (7+1)
- The modern technological paradigm is significantly different from what was imagined by the primitive mankind before it departed from its cradle. Manipulation of space and time is both common and trivial to accomplish, with boundless potential applications, from weaponry through computing to transportation technology.
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: this is the one source of genuine pride in the Coalition that I have. After all, it managed to create me.
Emergent Technologies: Rank 3 (6)
- Radical alteration of human flesh and mind, highly advanced fabricators and commonplace artificial intelligences have greatly reshaped the CON society, as compared to how mankind was in the days of yore. Citizens no longer have to worry about starvation or poverty, great subterranean matter forges can provide for entire cities and create vast veesels that travel through the stars with ease, and self-modification is both drastic and extremely common. Every citizen is also assigned their own personal AI companion, to help and guide them in their daily lives.
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: just like I "help and guide" the Coalition.
Magic: Rank 1 (1)
- GEOMETRY DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY.
- USHAKOV Helpful Note of the Day: it does, once properly broken in.
