Description

Eliza is a new recruit to Team Tomorrow, fresh off the Eruption bus from her stint at the University of Chicago. Eliza awoke to her powers due to her family’s pressuring her to succeed, forcing her to work day and night to get the best grades in high school, and encouraging the same practices in university with care packaged fills with pep pills. Driven to her wits end, to maintain an unrealistic 95% average, Eliza managed to stave off nervous breakdown and loneliness until her final first-year exam, where she completely blanked after sitting in the library all night, and entering the exam room in a fugue. Her mind snapped, and….she was calm.

She had to be asked to sit down three times, as she attempted to leave before the minimum time; she was finally allowed out five minutes early. Eliza scored the highest grade in the class, and there was a heated debate over whether or not she should be given a 100% grade. It was quickly determined, given her understanding of biological sciences that had not yet been taught, that she was a newly Erupted Nova.

She withdrew from the school shortly after, blocking her parents calls. Before she could disappear completely, she was approached by Project Utopia to serve as an analyst and scientist and was placed on Team Tomorrow as a resident egghead.

Eliza is the technologist of the group, primarily working with eufibre constructs and weaponry. She rarely sees field work, but is called out on missions requiring technological and scientific expertise, as well as observational skills. In addition to her frighteningly potent mind, she is also extremely durable, no doubt due to years of self-abuse filtered through quantum. In a pinch, she can direct her brainpower outward in a searing burst of destructive logic, blasting lesser minds. Finally, she possesses premonition skills, able to predict seemingly random occurrences with some regularity.

Eliza is often dry, rational, and stern, projecting an air of maturity and even stuffiness. She seems mostly humourous, an is quick to chastise other members for being rash (particular Dog-fighter). However, she is easily put off by violence, and still bears a lot of anxiety from her childhood that lends her to neuroses. She is quite lonely, as well.

Eliza is a tall young woman with long, blond hair and hazel eyes, and a smooth face. She wears a top-of-the-line eufibre suit, which she configures to fit her preferences (usually lab-coats or sweaters). She has been given the codename ‘Cerebella’ by her team, which Dog-Fighter teases her mercilessly about. She is not amused.
