Visual Description:

Slgihtly tall at 6’1’’, but otherwise with a fairly medium build overall. Facial features include brown eyes, short black hair and a thick moustache along with the rugged formations of a beard (although its kept back with frequent shaving). Skin is slightly tanned, but otherwise there are no other notable features.

Background:
Adrian Shore’s existence has always been about caring for others. The first was his younger brother of four years, shortly after his birth when his parents died in a car accident. The second was his grandmother – whom at the age of 90 was barely able to walk, much less look after them. When she, too, perished he was moved to a foster home, where as the eldest he had to care for a dozen others.

It all passed though and Adrian went to high school and community college. Faced with few prospects, he signed on with the army early in the 21st century, where he was assigned as a combat medic for several years before his contract ended. During his tenure he did some reputable work and earned a reputation for being cool even under the worst of fire and as having some of the steadiest hands in the field. He also gained a reputation for having keen eyes and an equally keen instinct for knowing when something was horribly wrong.

Once out, Adrian immediately enrolled as a paramedic in New York and for the next ten years would have an illustrious career that ended up saving hundreds of lives. This career came to an end 2 years ago however, when Adrian was caught up into a hostage situation involving several armed bank robbers. At the end of a 20 minutes siege the criminals were about to flee and kill the hostages behind them (to ensure a lack of witnesses) – they started first with Adrian firing a bullet right through his head.

It was that point when he erupted. His body seemed to shift and change shape, becoming incredibly thick and rigid as the bullet impacted and simply bounced off. Subsequent shots only bounced off skin that had hardened to nearly become bullet proof. as he got up, moving with a quick speed and reaction time to disarm the felons. By the time the police charged in the suspects were on the ground and Adrian was a hero.

Upon later examination by Project Utopia agents, Adrian’s powers would prove to be significant. He had manifested significant healing and shapeshifting powers. Moreover his senses simply improved almost tenfold, his taste and smell becoming an entire lab unto itself.

Project Utopia offered him a position – but it was one which he turned down almost immediately. Instead, Adrian left his job and went into freelance work with the US government, initially starting off with aiding the CIA in tracking down terrorists and dangerous criminals. Eventually he moved into full-blown special operations with the marines and other US army divisions, gaining a thirst for adventure and excitement he never had before.

However, after several months he left the government and joined the WHO in humanitarian efforts in Africa and other developing countries, using his healing to help with triage in war-torn areas as well as using his medical knowledge to teach younger doctors and surgeons. His adventures and exploits has gained him a great deal of contacts and influence all over the world – one that he rarely exerts, however.

He retired a month ago after an incident in Beirut where Islamic terrorists targeted a hospital where he was working in order to kill him. The attempt failed, but killed almost a hundred people in the process. For the safety of those around him, Adrian retired. He’s returned back to the states looking for new work – unfortunately this was in coincidence with the notification of a funeral being held for one of his old buddies from his paramedic days. The friend was working for a newly established mercenary company called Whitefire Security Solutions.

Adrian has gone to it now both to pay respects to his old friend as well as see if he can’t scrounge up a bit more work that won’t put as many other people at risk as before while still being useful – or at least where they would be able to handle trouble on their own.

Recent changes
