Its ability to generated powerful and stable wormholes has allowed it a firm grasp on lines of internal communication and moving forces that remains beyond the capabilities of its competitors.
- The Jardin Republic: The second largest of the states, the health of the Republic has been in decline since the Guitler Plot, of a hundred years ago which saw the Le'Reinne family take firm conrol of the First Minister position and make it by now a inherited position that runs over a weak rump Parliament.
- The Free Star League: A large confederation of states allied with each other in a defensive pact. However, the League is weak and been losing its borders to Imperial, Republic and Reaver expansion.
- The Rifters: the other side of the empire, barbarians held back by the Wall.
