Talk:Big Sky County
Cinnabar
- Player: Shrike
- A tall cyborg from the galactic South, implicitly Ventris or at least the CoDo. As a member of the Illuminated Life Society cyber-cult she has very little biological left in her body, perhaps not even all of her central nervous system. Her body is equally enhanced, built of advanced Ventrisan-Rifter cyberware from the ILS, much of which may not even be fully legal in Imperial space - especially considering the Cyberpathic Control Laws written after the departure of the Crusader fleet.
- Cinnabar claims to have been almost everything under the stars at some point; an outlaw, a lawwoman, a merchant, a soldier, a mechanic and a scientist are just some of the more high-profile lives she's claimed to have lived.
- Cinnabar's ship is the Sound of Silence, a small Yvnes-built Solostar - a one-man omniship, a miniature version of the Rifter Omnicruiser built in numbers to act as scouts, pickets, outriders, couriers and many other unglamorously vital tasks for the small but powerful CoDo fleet. The need for neural implants to interface with their avionics has not proved a barrier with many accepting the risks of neural cyberization to own such a ship.
Colonel Tierce Elation Verethegna, le cavalier avec un cheval étatisé de la Parsamyan
- Player: Lurker
Elation is a dark-skinned slightly built Commonwealth Cavalier, otherwise unremarkable save for the blades of white and black feather-like plumage instead of hair. Her extensive body modification is subtler - though no less extensive - than was the fashion for Rifters before the Unification. Even her headwings, the most arresting feature of her Rifter heritage, fold up neatly that they are easily hidden as a layer of her haircut.
- Tierce Elation Verethegna is a Cavalier with a Public Horse of the Heron-Ibis Standard, third . Her public record indicates 27 cumulative years of levee and volunteer service, including successful matriculation through several staff colleges, before she went on half-pay as a Cosmoforce Colonel.
- Hyacinth of Morningstar
Lord John Bahrami
- Player: Lokar
Mysterious Phoenician nobleman either slumming or cooling his heels. Actually not that mysterious, totally not someone traveling under the name "Guy Incognito"... Totally not. Really. >.>
Samira Theresa bint Abdielle Norouzi
- Player: Ent
- Background: Mercenary
A new arrival to Big Sky, Samira comes at the behest of General Integrated Systems, her current employer. Tight-lipped about her mission and background, Samira leaves those who encounter her guessing, the hired gun’s only hints to her nature being a few trinkets, an old and well-maintained cavalry sabre, and the prototype plasma scattergun lent to her.
Sir Valiance von Elias
- Player: MW
- Background: Noble Knight
Valiance, often called "Val" by his friends, is about as close to a disenfranchised knight as you can come without actually having the title stripped away and your name run through the street as that of a traitor. Raised within the courts of the Gramhau March, he learned how to work his way through society and earned his knighthood through noble and righteous means. Much to the dismay of Valiance, his family ran afoul of the other barons and was stripped of their noble rights by the Margrave after a long and arduous period of political warfare, but thanks to his distinguished service, Valiance managed to just dodge the disenfranchisement of his family name.
Stripped of his greater nobility and feeling like he has nothing left to offer the Margrave directly or the Empire at large, he has struck out to Big Sky with his remaining possessions to bring back honor and nobility to the Elias name.
Charlotte Éclair
- Player: Holle
- Background: Spy
A rather corpulent yet nebulous woman with fondness for dark coats and a sweet tooth, whose family has guarded their secret recipe for pączki for a hundred generations. (or so she claims) Charlotte might even be her real name. Maybe. I mean, it is a real name.
A consultant in matters of military and security, she’s been rather busy in the Big Sky during her stay here so far, the nature of the locale meaning that the expertise of an – admittedly former – officer of the Jardin Navy, supposedly purged for political reasons during the series of upheavals that took place there a while ago, is in relatively high demand by those with pirate and pirate-related problems – Kendal being the most recent one. Still wears an uniform, for marketing reasons if nothing else.
Has certain hints of a rougher and more checkered past than her admittedly very boring-sounding CV presents, but ultimately, as long as the outcomes check out, does it really matter? She certainly doesn’t think so.
