Customization
The existing stat lines are now the Baseline design, the most common class of that type in the national Navy and exemplary of doctrinal predilections. However, there are many different classes of ship in every category.
Up to 8 points worth of design can be customized.

- [Advanced 8/10] 8 for Capitals, 5 for Cruisers, 2 for Unrated
- AEWACs: Short for "Aerospace Early Warning and Aerospace Control", these add more extensive communication arrays, and a command staff.

Templates
Additionally there are templates that create customization.
- Flagship/Experimental: +14 upgrade points
- First Line: +8 upgrade points
- Second Line: Baseline
- Reserve: No modernizations OR -5 points
- STL/Dragoon: +1 to Hull Type (can stack with another template)
- Only First Line ships can take:
- Plasma Cannon Upgrade
- Superheavy Plating
- Improved Shields

Can only be taken with Upgrade points.

Major Powers
(+) Baseline Battleships are now base Acceleration 3 and have ER vector lasers.
