The Transeisdzarian Commonwealth, formally the (also referred to as the Kingdom of the Rift, or simply), is a sovereign state of the Small Magellanic Cloud. Its sovereign space encompasses the majority of the settled space of the Great Rift and beyond, berdering the Phoenix Empire along the coreward limits of the Great Rift and the CoDominium at the terminus of the Negev-Ruhazani lines. The Commonwealth is the fourth-largest state of the Small Magellanic Cloud.

Its government is variously described as a federal union with a common monarch and a constitutional monarchy. The ceremonial capital is the system of Concordia's March, with the warship SMS Mikado serving as auxiliary. The current monarchs since 29 February 5323 are the twin Shahzadas Ardeshir and Saki. Their powers have been assumed by a Regency Council until the end of their minority. The Commonwealth consists of over a hundred countries, of varying powers. The systems along the Negev-Ruhazani lines are administrative dependencies of the Commonwealth with limited self-government.

Etymology

The official name of the state following ratification was the Provident Commonwealth of the Transeisdzarian Nations and the Royal Saka. Prior to the Rift Crusade and unification the collective region went by many names; in much of the Cloud it was known simply as the Great Rift, [] in Jardini, Transeisdzaria in Turanian, .

  • The first documented use of Transeisdzaria, meaning "Beyond the Lake Country", dates back to the fourth millennium in Phoenician texts, in references to the Great Rift.
