Five Kingdoms is a multinational historical drama multimedia presentation based on the events of the Five States period and the Ur-Real Invasions of the Large Magellanic Cloud. Much of the material drew. Directed by Scotts ibn Matthais the series had a budget of over a billion thalers and with a production period of almost six years. Historical Recreation societies strongly participated in the , and some of the scenes were modeled directly on locations and surviving ships from the period. Extensive battle sequences, such as the Second Battle of Sweetwater or the Sixth Battle of Luxor, featured live runs of ships.
The first chapter release began on the March of []. Surprisingly for a Historical Drama of its scale the presentation focused on a relatively small cast of characters. It was well received and soon became a strong metrical success. The series would be honored by a number of high-profile awards and nominations over the course of its run.
The success of Five Kingdoms resulted in a slew of side materials such as Records of the Stellar Heroes.
