There are four possibilities for faction-choices at the current time; EU, PACT (eg, Pac-AM), ZOCU and Indie. It may be best to have a backup faction in place, in case your first choice is not possible.
Peel: Minkowsky. Indie, space-adapted extreme transhumans, distinctive gravitophobic religion and culture, touchy nationalists.
Ent: Valera. Boobs! ^-^
Koffee: Corrigedor. Project New American Century
MJ12: Adhara. High-end transhumans + PACT = ?
