The Grinning Reapers are the largest Military Order on Heaven's Reach. A Mechanised Infantry Division, they can count upon power armoured infantry, IFVs and integrated air support and transport. With an emblem of a Smilie face clad in the clothes of the Grim Reaper, they are not unknown for sardonic behaviour. As Exhuman idealists, serving with the Grinning Reapers requires a pound of flesh (most outfits require some sort of sacrifice in order to become a candidate), usually eyes or a limb. Leon Warspite is the Strategos of the Grinning Reapers. In truth, he is a armoured brain and spinal column, with access to a variety of forms to suit the occasion. He is widely admired for his Exhuman zeal, though he also embodies a recent decadent trend of pomp, military honours and trophies.
