New Mercian dress uniforms are simply stylised versions of standard duty jumpsuits. Coloured white and black, with trim colour reflecting service department and a black beret with unit patch for enlisted personnel, and with a 'shoulder-cape' or mantel, gold trim and a peaked cap for officers.

Service Uniforms

Service jumpsuits are identical for all departments, save for colour and rank insignia. All uniforms combine an identifying department colour with black; officers white, warfare orange, logistics yellow, flight crew and pilots red, engineering and technical personnel blue, and ground soldiers green. Service uniforms are designed for use in microgravity, and thus do not feature hats, caps, capes or other potentially distracting paraphernalia.
