Biography

A distant uncle of Marillia Caldwell on her father's side, Vincent Caldwell is a distracted but charming man who appears in his late middle age, despite being close to a century old. His age appears to be catching up with him lately, as his somewhat messy hair and short beard are now streaked with white, he has lost a great deal of weight, and coughs frequently.

Caldwell is in fact one of the oldest and most accomplished 'old magick' families of house Bonisagus, Vincent has never attained the position one might expect due to his insatiable quest for knowledge, however forbidden. Although seen by many as a bookworm, Caldwell in fact makes frequent excursions to the most dangerous realms of earth and spirit in chasing his various pursuits, and those who have faced him have found his harmless exterior belies a towering intellect capable of shaping any situation to his advantage. One of these recent (overly) complex plans lead to the death of both himself and his niece at the hands of a plot by an unseen Nephandus as cunning as he. His recent resurrection is seen by many as an affront to nature, but Caldwell may harbour an even darker secret concerning the fate of his niece's family. . .
