The entirety of human civilization is contained upon Byfro, the endless sky. At one time, Byfro was thought to form the entire plane of existence, though modern science is much more enlightened.
In reality, Byfro is a spherical planet, composed entirely of gasses, aside from the various landmasses, and the proposed core.
Barring nomads and a few other outlier, human civilization exists entirely on the uncounted numbers of landmasses that float in the skies of Byfro. After all, one cannot live upon thin air. While they range in size from tiny islets to floating continents so large that they are practically worlds unto themselves, there are some commonalities.
