-Background: Natsuka Kohaku came from a prestigious kabuki family in the capital, but did not want to spend a life as an actor. Running away, he was forced to find employ as a geisha, where he put his skills as an actor to entertain guests with song and dance. While he was able to keep his identity hidden for several months, he was eventually discovered and threatened with prison for embarrassing a local governor.
-Rather than go to jail, he chose to enter the service of the Apostalic Court, putting his skill at deception to use. Unfortunately, his handler thought it funny to identify him as female to the others in the expedition, forcing him to maintain his disguise.
