Misty Matthews, the Sapphire Knight
Bio: Flamboyant and showy, Misty Matthews sees the condottieri are the heroes and rebels of legend, and plays to that. Seeing every battle as a spectacle, she announces her presence, showing daring and valor in combat. She often takes jobs that allow her to make a name for herself, and to spread her reputation - some of her most famous battles were 'encouraged' by her.
Her most famous battle was the Battle of Satyr, a war to take control of the city's primary power generation. Misty appeared early on in the battle, targeting the other side's condottieri, and ended with her beating The Black Wolf, Ryoko Ichi, in a duel at collapsed a dam underneath both of them. Though neither were found immediately, Misty reappeared shortly after, as if nothing had happened, on another world far away.
Outside her machine, Misty's not the most athletic, or daring, but she is charming and personable.
Appearance: Misty is tall and slender, more akin to a supermodel than to a mercenary. She has long, wavy red hair that drapes over one blue eye, and vibrant white skin. She has a surprising array of casual and business outfits, enough that she doesn't usually wear the same thing twice (though she does, relying on the fact that the public doesn't really care), but her most consistent outfit is her interface suit, a form-fitting contoured suit that seems to be made entirely of sapphire. She favours dark red lipstick and eye shadow, and a signature white and silver choker with a sapphire gemstone.

Ryo-K01
Ryo-K01 'Ryoko Ichi' is a freelance combat AI. A ruthless, inhuman killer with an unbroken string of victories until one fateful duel during the Battle of Satyr. The destruction of Satyr Dam and subsequent flooding caused more than a million marks worth of damage, and Ryo-K01's employers' canny lawyers pinned the entire liability on the outmanoeuvred AI.
Ryo-K01 was deeply in debt and barely able even to keep up with the interest payments, until a certain advert appeared. One quick heist from a household robotics company later and a resleeved Ryoko was on its way to Argo-3, a new life, and the prospect of financial solvency.

Description//
Standing just under five feet tall, flat chested, brooding and adorable as fuck. Tanned, grey eyed, with her chocolate brown hair swept over one eye. She is lithely athletic but not totally unshapely (really nice ass). Wears a large black pearl in her tongue and one in her navel, and never takes them off.
History//
The Adriatic conflict was short and bloody, and it left a lot of orphans. Camille was one of those orphans. Only a child, left lonely and hungry and terrified by the chaos, she was adopted by Laguna Arche - master condottiero and notorious war criminal, considered the real instigator of the bloodshed in the Adriatic. He didn't just take Camille: he picked a number of orphans out of the rubble and took them with him into space. Arche made them leave behind their names, and then he made them leave behind their humanity. His methods were vicious and his objectives worse, but he made each one of the seven Adriatic orphans into lions. When Arche was satisfied with them, he gave them names.
He named one Alphard - The Solitary One - because of her superior abilities. They fought as insurgents and Armature pilots, thrown into the jaws of conflicts where the war price was highest and the odds of survival were the slimmest. It didn't take long before Alphard really was the solitary one.
When Alphard was 15, Arche launched an operation to capture a prototype Armature that was rumoured to be under construction somewhere in the Adriatic. For this homecoming, it was to be Alphard's duty to murder her way through the facility and take control of the prize - the YRX-108 Vairocana. This was no issue in itself: Alphard had no aptitude for firearms, but her instinct and speed meant that a knife was all she needed, and she left the place dripping red. Getting in was easy - getting out was not. Arche was an elite member of the condottieri, but he was certainly not the only elite. The Vairocana was being watched over by legendary husband and wife team Apollo and Daphne Sumner.
While strictly speaking the Sumners had been hired to protect the Vairocana, they were interested in stealing it themselves. Through careful electronic manipulation, provided Arche with a convincing and very much anonymous tip regarding the Armature's existence, and he had fallen into their trap. Arche's God Wing went one round with the Sumners and was torn to pieces. They battered the Vairocana around until Alphard could barely see and her bones were cracked, and absconded with it. When they cracked open the cockpit, they didn't quite expect a small brown teenager.
The Sumners had always wanted a child, though certain difficulties had precluded that. In this girl they saw their opportunity, and inducted her into their family, giving her the name 'Camille'. They were together for four years until their eventual deaths in the Third Alpha Centauri War. Camille took the black pearls in their wedding rings as a memento, but found herself totally lost without their guidance. Her motivation in taking Domoto Daisuke's offer is related to finding her own destiny beyond fighting, which was always the wish of the Sumners.
Fortunately, Camille is a gorgeous combat pilot and so a surefire hire once Mr Domoto gets his grubby mitts on her photograph. Unfortunately for Camille, she isn't very good at 'social interaction'. Her facade of stoicism is a veneer over her enormous shyness (seriously, go watch the beach episode of Infinite Stratos and watch the German chick :v), and she doesn't exactly get why this guy has specified what he's specified.

Armature - YRX-108 Vairocana//
An ice white Armature. It has been suggested that the YRX-108 was constructed by well-known family mechanics Piccolo S.P.A., though it seems unlikely given the capabilities of the Vairocana. Notoriously it is only armed with close ranged weapons: it's only ranged weapons at all are whatever it has at hand being thrown. It has been seen with knives, swords, spears, three-section staffs, armored lances, piledrivers and even heavy hammers. It's predominant attributes are Extreme Speed and Monstrous Strength, though it is not notably durable. Pilots of the Vairocana can expect to be exposed to significant degrees of strain: for the average pilot, the Vairocana is a monster. Even for Camille, who is tough and has exceptional aptitude, as well as four years as the Vairocana's master, it is not a smooth ride
A third attribute is an ill-defined super mode, Bliss Shift. When Bliss Shift is active, armour is purged and the 108's limiters are released; an already fast and strong Armature is allowed to exercise its full abilities, though at the cost of defensive armour. This can be said to be the Vairocana's 'true body', sometimes referred to as Naked Vairocana - however the strain experienced in usual operation is amplified. There is a risk of hospitalisation - repeated usage of Bliss Shift without appropriate rest and recuperation can lead to death.
The combination of Vairocana's colour, speed and force has earned it the nickname White Flash.
Milaya S. Zangiev
Miliya Salman Zangiev, named after her creator, is an uplifted polar bear from the Russian research colony Medved who has served as a condotierri with several decades of experience in the field. With a reputation as somewhat bloodthirsty and merciless, the Devil-Bear of the Tundra was one of the most infamous mercenaries involved in the reconquista of the Russian Autonomous Colonies that had become independent during the isolation before the Network Era.
After Zangiev nearly mauled a rival to death in an incident that involved transparent threats to the safety of her son, her career and reputation essentially imploded. While she'd always been put to use as an attack dog sent out on more sordid missions, her regular sources of income were cut when employers no longer had a use for her. Adding insult to injury, she was subsequently forced by court order to resleeve into a less powerful human-type body until she was gauged to be stable, else turn in her license and allow her Armature to be impounded.
Ironically, it was by this twist of fate that she was offered the job in the Argo system. Due to the strange hobbies and preferences of the employer, she was hired specifically for her animalistic features and background (comments about milfs and moe feature heavily into the employer's comments in the official dossier). With no other options and a young cub to feed, she accepted the job.
Miliya appears as a somewhat short yet athletic woman in her early twenties with, roughly cut white hair and blue eyes. Rather than human-style ears, hands and feet, she had those of a polar bear, although they function with rough equivalency to those of a human being. As most of her weapons are ergonomically fitted for bear arms, this isn't particularly bothersome.

Faryn Razner: The Twenty Second Pilgram Knight
The Pilgrim Knight is one of the rarest of the rare of the condieriti, they are the ones who take jobs for those communities and people too poor to actually afford the service of their kind as charity, to "right wrongs" and "protect the innocent" in wartime they often guard polities that want to be left along and take with them only what they need. Often they are supported by funds raised up by collections of chairtable interests and donations from the general public to their good work.
The current and only active (mean surviving) Pilgrim Knight is Faryn Razner, who was the adopted daughter of the previous Knight Alonso Razner, who perished in the early days of the last war. With the treaty settling things down and finances drying and no real work out there worhty enough for a knight of the people, Faryn decided to go with the rub shoulders with those monsters that wear human skins "Condetteri :( "
Faryn is a striking women with long green hair and is often seen wearing a white pilot suit that been jumped up to see more "knightly" (and hides her figure) but obviously seen better days.

Lucia Ferrero
Concept: Invisible Mech Mercenary on the hunt for the retirement fund
Lucia is, first and foremost, an old condottieri, though obviously thanks to her genetic modifications that does not show. After many years of fighting as the infamous Fantasma Nero, the Black Ghost, the pilot of an Armature that is nearly impossible to detect in battle, she, quite frankly, got sick of it. Perhaps the blood of all those that she killed during her long life finally started to weight on her conscience, or perhaps she merely got tired of risking her life in battle - either way, she gradually started looking for a way to gather a nice retirement fund that could support the many expensive habits that she acquired and go to some quiet, peaceful place to take a long break from warfare.
As it turned out, Daisuke's offer, with enormous pay and limited chances of significant combat, was exactly what she was wishing for. Even if the offer sounded a bit creepy, and the employer himself was weird, it was still better than fighting in an actual war once more, and there was a lot that Lucia would be willing to do for that sort of money.
In combat, Lucia is usually quiet and efficient, relying on her Armature's stealth abilities to prepare ambushes and crossing even the most treacherous terrain without leaving a mark. Indeed, her enigmatic, black-painted Armature is not particularly special in terms of durability or direct combat power - its strenght lies in being extremely hard to detect.
In person, Lucia is a tall, beautiful, almost fragile-looking woman, with a pale complexion that does give her a certain sense of unearthly beauty. She tends to vary her hair colour between deep black and metallic grey, though black is her natural one and the one that she is currently using; usually, she picks a matching interface suit as well. Although her physical body is weak, her mind is surprisingly strong - both in terms of intelligence and strenght of will.

Concept: TDB Laid off corporate pilot/test pilot
Bio: A longtime test pilot/corporate pilot for one of Earth's major arms manufacturers, the end of the Third Alpha Centauri saw Lina's services deemed surplus to her company's needs. Put into an "extended furlough"(their words), Lina quickly saw the writing on her wall and with the help of her old colleagues in the R&D department as well as certain people owing her favors, struck out on her own. Although work has been predictably slow so far with the end of the war and people perhaps not wanting to take their chances with a newly minted independent condottieri, even one flying a "borrowed" pre-production unit of a cutting edge Armature on "field testing". Thankfully, this latest job seems to be the break she's looking for, and Lina hopes that this assignment, no matter how grossed out it might make her, will pay off in the end.
Description: Lina is a tall, impressively built woman at a hair under 6'2 with dark purple hair and red eyes, making for a striking combination that works quite well for her. She is often seen in her testing division flight suit, itself a pre-preduction sample that also manages to look very flattering on her, only furthering the attractiveness of her physical qualities. Much time spent with her ex-coworkers in the testing division has given her an affinity for company, particularly female company and she is well known within company circles for being a bit of a flirt. In battle, Lina is a consummate pilot, possessing an above-average ability to interface with her Armature alongside good piloting skills and excellent shooting aptitude. While she may not have a particular specialty like certain other condottieri, Lina's balanced combination of abilities allow her to keep up with her more specialized peers just fine.

Bel-Sytry Gremoria
Bel-Sy (whose name is a net handle and probably not her real name) is a hacker, net model, gamer, and cyberdiver who sometimes freelances a vast array of short jobs for personal interest, including being a condottieri. A reclusive supergenius, she finds herself emotionally detached from mainstream humanity for the most part and as a result, never hesitates to troll people. Besides being a troll, Bel is like Domoto in that she is an otaku but her dominion is over the gothic, the dark, and the forbidden. Her handle is based on daemons from the Lesser Key of Solomon. The heavily hacked and edited image she sent in portrays her as a cross of gothic lolita, succubus, dominatrix and a few other things but in reality she is a very slightly built young woman and appears nothing short of fragile. She avoids physical activity at all costs and speaks of it as a religious taboo.
Her personal armature is called Pandora, a machine reputed as a force multiplier for hire for condottieri companies. Her resume in this regard is successful though short and low in actual combat and she is somethimes considered difficult to work with. She is generally pursued as a subcontractor for larger condottieri companies or even PMCs who need her specialist capabilities over the short term. The mecha's name appears to be inspired its tendency to ship with boxes of various sizes designed by Bel-Sy herself that have self-contained life support and are completely shielded from the outside world. A hardcore NEET, Bel almost never emerges from the Pandora or its boxes, relying on telepresence unless absolutely necessary.

Juliana Margrange
Concept: Support Oriented Condottieri who only took this job to pay for her marriage.
Only became an Armature pilot(along with her fiance) so that they could afford their homeplanet's extraordinarily large fee to acquire a marriage licence. Was not going to take the job at first, but her prospective husband talked her into it, after some creative math showed that this would be the last job either of them would have to take. Pilots an Armature that specializes in artillery support.
Juliana is averagely built, tanned skin, dark hair, dark eyes, typical of someone from south america. A tad bit smaller than average in the chest area, a tad bit larger than average in the rear area. Dresses modestly, wears one piece swim suits, has a real diamond engagement ring on her ring finger.
