Lao's Menagerie: Demons for Fun and Profit
Here's a list of the demons that might be useful to people other than Lao. I'll not put every demon in the books on here: just the ones that might interest people.
First Circle Demons
War
Blood Apes: The archetypal demon bodyguard. Like being material, like blood, can throw barrels. Generally good for any combat situation; especially useful in wooded and jungle areas.
Baidak: Living Gateway (chess) pieces. Awesome soldiers, immune to mind-effecting stuff due to being automatons, come with ranged and melee weapons, and are one of the safest demons to summon (as it is impossible for them to accrue Limit if you have any awareness of how they function). The downside is that they don't have personal initiative.
Teakettle Courtiers: Mellow six-legged lizards that transform into roiling masses of vermin dripping in venom. Can poison an entire city water supply in an hour, with a toxin that's functionally identical to coral snake venom. Just don't laugh at them. Or around them.
Tomescu: Giant multi-armed horrors with built-in weapons. Stellar fighters with a lot of versatility, but channels of the will of the Yozis (so everything they do is probably an elaborate ploy to strengthen Hell). Also, they scream at dawn and dusk, which makes stealth troublesome.
Luminata: Tentacle deer! They're great for specops and hunting guys down, and look like pretty white deer from a distance. Keep them away from oak, ash, or rowan trees if you don't want them dying from aggravated damage.
Bisclavarets: Shapeshifters and assassins. Pretty feral, so they're only good in short-term deceptions, but they can really mess with people. Send them right into the enemy lines so that they don't start fucking with your guys.
Anuhles: Demon spiders. Good for kidnapping and/or killing enemies, and for entangling foes with webs. They don't like barking dogs much. At all, in fact.
Gethin: Goofy little lizards that can steal people's identities just be looking into their eyes, leaving the person to wander around confused and partially invisible (like Sidereal Arcane Fate). Good spies. Might find some random object that allows them to cocoon themselves and breed, which frees them from summoning. This is random.
Tinsiana: Big Scorpion men. Burly, sadistic, and can abandon their bodies to burrow into mortals and eventually grow to full-size within them (with fatal results). Frontline fighters.
Metody: Vitriol Elementals. They produce powerful acid, and can destroy anything not made of the Magic Materials with frightening ease. Good for sabotage and tunnelling/breaching. Tend to take being unable to dissolve something a bit...badly.
Agatae: Shiny demon wasps. So pretty you can't hurt them without failing a Compassion roll. Good mounts. Tend to randomly do stuff for the hell of it, but wub their riders. Get jealous easily - watch your other horse.
Peronelle: The tentacle-armour of doom. Protect you from most everything, is probably more observant than you, can translate several languages, and is just plain cool. Tend to react badly to bad omens. Basically Lucien's demon-Mormons (which may or may not preclude them from being pervs).
Radeken: Winged beasts that consume and weaponize weather. Need a thunderstorm or a blizzard? Find one, make these guys eat part of it, then have them fire it at an enemy! Psychotic bastards, though, with serious Mommy issues (don't ask). Need to smell a gallon of burning blood or the smoke from a burning tree once a day - better get used to pissing of dryads.
Construction
Firmin: The only choice for mass production. They produce exceptional weapons and armour, at the same rate as mortals produce normal, without any materials beyond their own resin. They're basically animals, though, so don't wander around near their nests. Also, their equipment tends to glint a lot in the sun, making stealth trickier.
Heranhal: Demon Dorfs (literally). They can forge amazing weapons and jewelry, though they need materials (Note: viable materials include Ligier's sunlight, Ghost's essence in sand, and bronze/blood/bile mixes). Good for producing masterworks and special orders. Need frequent sexing to keep functional.
Marottes: Big multi-limbed creatures that are savant-level architects. They do the work of 10 mortals when it comes to constructing buildings (as opposed to 5 for other demons) and are able to do a lot of the technical work too. A bit crazy, and their slime is a powerful narcotic. Keep babies away from them at all costs.
Demjen: Demon mermen that can swim through air and water, and come with little ore-crabs they create. They're good for finding and mining ores, and can work as military or labour forces due to their minions. Keep a tub of water around and give them an hour alone with it every day.
Research
Naneke: Demon lorekeepers. Good for researching things, and chances are they know something useful already. Warning: may learn too much, and Orbalis doesn't like that...
Miscellaneous Fun Stuff
Neomah: Demon hookers. They're also master fleshcrafters, to the point where they can make babies out of the flesh of two of any living things (regardless of silly things like 'gender' and 'compatibility'. Must be paid in flesh.
Anglakae: Cute harpist women who play time with tentacle-fingers. Their music makes people experience the truth of their soul; this may be good or bad (or very good or VERY bad). Can't stop playing unless killed. Might be fun to summon one around Cal...
Decanthropes: Body-snatchers that can have as many as 10 mortals at once; essentially a hive mind. Can switch between bodies at high-speed, serving as an attack. Having ten bodies makes them good for military, labour, or other multi-person tasks. Warning: They like to 'upgrade' on better bodies, so keep an eye on them.
Second Circle Demons
Lao CAN summon. These are some of the useful ones:
Octavian: Breaks shit. Is really good at breaking said shit. Especially good at breaking Earth elementals.
Sigereth: A living game-box. Will play any game for things like wealth, kingdoms, Intimacies, Attributes, and your soul (which she makes into baidak). Awesome strategist, and can turn her baidaks into burlier baidaks.
Iyutha: Remember I said not to ask about the Radekan's Mommy issues? Well, when Mommy is known as 'The Vitriolic Dragon', you can guess why. Send her at your foes and go the other way.
Zsofika: Need to hunt someone down? Is that someone killing all of your luminata? Send Zsofika! (note: might not be that subtle).
Gumela: Need a mystery solved? Want someone to use orgasm-breath on your foes? Call Gumela! (Note: May ask you what 'Mayoigo' is. Just shake your head and back away.)
Florivet: Hot winged goat man who loves sailin', drinkin', whorin', and any combination thereof. Air elementals love him, so park him in your boat and get good winds. Can be paid in hookers and booze.
Berengiere: Make stuff out of people's voices. Temporary thefts make some nice stuff, while permanent thefts (must be willing) makes artifacts. Just don't lift her veil.
Alvuea: Hammer-girl. Can make pretty much any forge-related product out of metal; also, out of people. For really awesome stuff (doesn't work well with the Magic Materials, or by sunlight or moonlight).

Build Order
Here is where I list what Lao wants to build using Genesis, or his robot factory, or demon construction. Much of this will be expanded when the beastmen are found.
Money
- demonic labour and production: Make weapons for armies, build houses and castles, other fun stuff
- sell chalcanth. Good money
- sell other Alchemy stuff
Genesis
Build Order for Lao's Genesis projects:
- War steeds: Fast, armoured beasts to use for mounts. Possibly derived from horses and dragons (for plating and scales)
- Giant war beasts, resembling dragons. Used for archers in a howdah, good for crushing large formations (armour)
- Giant Centipede steeds: Mix in with river dragon for added oomph.
- Fuzzy rabbit/monkey hybrids, for pets. Give the first one born to Hope.
- Living Armour: Use Peronelle samples combined with tough animals to produce living armour for battle; not amorphic, but rather actual organic armour designed to be attuned to, adding muscle-strength and natural defenses to the wearer.
Factory Cathedral
Materials:
- What is needed to maintain the factory? What materials are needed to make robots?
- Varil has offered to supply some; make a deal that he sends what Lao asks for, and Lao gives him half of what is produced and keeps half for himself.
- The Silver Pact may be able to use the Wyld to provide metals and other materials for machines (moonsilver robots). They're pretty established out there and Lao needs to unite them anyway.
- Demonic materials. I may need those for Factory maintenance anyway, maybe their metals can be used. (note: Last Resort. Probably a bad idea that will taint the factory)
- Produce lots of robots. Need an army if I'm going to even come close to keeping up with the other players.
- Try to find a way to get rid of their deferrence to Alchemicals. Don't want some dissident factions commandeering my army.
