Basinah Mulha

Bio

Basinah Mulha hails from the Red Caliphate, a dictatorship located in a desert region. Born to a rich military family, she was pushed into pursuing an officer's position, with hopes of being the next military elite. Her father didn't survive the political backstabbing her country endured, and her mother, an aide to the Vice President, fought off rumours of her involvement with resistance movements as her daughter completed her degree in Mechanical Engineering. She completed her military training, but was fastracked due to family connections, given the rank of Major without any prior experience; she spent more time playing the corrupt powergames in the capital than leading the military efforts. When the Caliphate developed the ability to produce Glories, Basinah saw it as an attempt to get ahead, and make something of herself; through bribes and favours, she got herself on the list, and was selected for the infusion procedure.

The transformation had incredible results. Basinah's energy yields were of highest grade, and she manifested the ability to briefly accelerate so fast as for time to appear to stop for her, allowing her to strike with multiple attacks. However, the mental stresses of being a Glory have compounded her insecurities, rather than alleviated them. Her growing drug problems and bouts of depression are often covered up by the Caliphate, and to her credit she mostly keeps these from affecting her missions. She is driven to succeed, hoping that by gaining more power and prestige, she will silence the growing fear within her.

Basinah is a dusky-skinned woman with rich dark hair, often cut short and suitable to a stylish military officer. She is driven, energetic, and tends to be outgoing, but is prone to violence with angered.

Nekomi

Player: Mal
Country: Ezo Republic
The smallest country in the world to weaponise the Glory, the war-devastated and highly militarised Ezo Republic has an extremely secretive program, classifying the identities of all candidates and referring to active Glories by code name only. Only the abilities of Jewel Eye, the first Glory, are well known internationally. Nekomi is thought to be the second or third weapon activated by the Ezo Republic after the war. Her action dress involves actual nekomimi and is believed by foreign intelligence communities to refer to Schrödinger's Cat.

Famine

Player: Bearstorm
Country: Goran Confederation

Bio

Glories of the Goran Confederation, a technocratic nation that transformed into its current, harsh and heartless form as a result of the invasion that it suffered during the war, do not have personal names. They might have had them once, a long time ago, before they became Glories - however, a weapon of the State has no need for such things. Famine and her three comrades, those few of the Goran Glory candidates who managed to survive - and pass - Doctor Gerber's training received new names, considered to better reflect their nature as living weapons.

Current Famine is a true patriot - pieced together from the shreds of the person that were left of her by the time her training was over. Training under the mad Glory exposed her to many horrible things, death being just one of them, but her determination and simple, honest wish to defend her nation to ensure that nobody else would have to lose their family like she did managed to pull her through. Her loyalty as a living weapon of the Goran Confederation is beyond question, and she holds those who would compromise their nature as a weapon of mass destruction to play pretend games that they are still what they used to be in utter contempt. Her formerly kind heart was broken and forced to close in the underground training halls of Steigerberg, and since then she has only kept covering it in further layers of ice.

Although her combat endurance has suffered due to the methods used in the conventional and magical training used in the Confederation, as well as the ritual itself, she, like all Goran Glories, wields frightening genocidal power, as well as the mental fortitude to deal with the consequences of her actions, even if acquiring it came at a terrible cost to her as a person. Her special ability allows her to drain all energy in a wide radius - turning everything surrounding her into a frozen wasteland, living beings spot-frozen where they stood. She can use that energy to regain her strenght, though even her training was unable to completely break her disgust at the idea of effectively feeding off people.

Famine is quite tall, though she looks pale and sickly - her short, black hair is impeccably groomed, however. Has "wings" composed of multiple large ice crystals - usually six or eight - floating behind her back, unattached directly to the body.

Jimin Sung

Player: Oseng
Country: Haeju

Jimin Sung is the youngest of the four Glories currently serving in Haeju's Royal Guard, and the third to be created after the war. Though this is her first major international deployment intel reports suggests that she is a relatively straightforward fighter, wielding a longsword of the traditional Haeju style. Her powers are reported to be the ability to summon or create the sword she uses in combat, as well as the ability to generate defensive barriers. She is new enough that little else is known beyond vague psychological profiles and analysts' best guesses.
