With the coming of Abaddon the Despoiler's 13th Black Crusade, a warp rift has torn the Imperium asunder, over half of the Imperium of Man no longer can reliably see the light of the Holy Astronomican. In one such region of the Ultima Segmentum where the light of the Astronomican can no longer be seen and warp storms ravage the surrounding, there remains a light to be seen across the five sectors, Noorian, Bellian, Nazca, Dulce and Montauk. In the center of these sectors is an old Fortress Monastery of the Void Hunters, an ancient believed to Second or Third Founding Chapter from the Ultramarines. Their stronghold, an captured archeotech fortress from the Dark Age of Technology had surprising all erupted to life when the Cictrax Maladirum came down becoming a brilliant burning beacon of stability in the Warp driving away across the five sectors, the daemonic incursions and giving the Imperium in theater a breather.  The beacon can be seen past the five sectors it covers in stability, causing it to be a location that many sectors fleets and armies have fled to as their own original homes fell into the darkness. Overwhelmed with refugees both military and civilian, the sectors leaders seemed more intent on squabbling with each other on who was in charge and even coming to blows in a civil war, even as the forces of the ruinous powers began to send in their mortal agents to take world in preparation of siege against the Pharos.  Among the numerous wave of newcomers fleeing disaster, comes a Rogue Trader's ship carried to Nazca via winds of Fate and the Warp.  This is your story.

Setting Notes
