Colonel Miroslav Chernobyl

Colonel, enjoying a hot cup of coffee during a battle

Colonel Chernobyl, a Polish-born veteran PCU soldier, is the very model of a gruff, serious military officer whose face has never been marred by a smile. Although his high competence - or, indeed, his rather unnerving determination that once allowed him to pilot his frame while literally on fire - is not in question, his willingness to resort to excessive force has given his superiors no small amount of headaches. Like his name says, Miroslav does love peace - his methods of establishing that peace, however, can sometimes bring his surname to mind instead. Some rumors say that this is why he has not been promoted further, though how much truth is in that, only the PCU generals know.

Other than his lack of finesse and heavy-handed tactics that earned him the title of being PCU's own clubtip of advance, he is perhaps best known amongst his fellow soldiers for his peculiar coffee addiction, causing him to drink scalding hot liquids in the middle of combat - as well as being good enough a pilot to somehow pull that off flawlessly. He also suffers from a bizarre and inexplicable hatred of cats, though nobody can even begin to figure out where that comes from.

Also has a really creepy daughter, who, instead of following her father and joining the military, became a nuclear physicist. To some, this suggests that Colonel Chernobyl actually fell in love and got married at some point, but so far, such preposterous ideas remain unproven.

Piloting Style

  • Withering Barrage (all problems can be solved with enough missiles)
  • The Clubtip of Advance (who needs a spearhead?)
  • Unstoppable (being on fire is no obstacle!)

Personality

  • A Father to His Men
  • Coffee-Powered
  • World-Shaking Hard-ass

Flaws

  • "Finesse" (what does that word even mean?)
  • Renegade Interrupt (oh where to even begin)

Mecha: The Wawel Dragon

The Wawel Dragon, in the middle of night operations
  • The Flying Giant (can actually fly! Pretty well, at that)
  • The Spectre of Nuclear Age (nuclear-powered! Possibly more than just powered!)
  • Dragon's Breath (curtain fire at its finest!)
