Lasting Phantasm is a native of Harborhead where she was a member of the clan in control of the Leopard Seat. Her real name is Silya. As a princess of peripheral importance, she grew up witnessing the depredations of the Realm against her country, the burden of its tributes levied and its effective enslavement of her people without being directly embroiled in the intrigues forced upon the Leopard's immediate family. Though never particularly good with words, numbers or script, she always understood that, beneath it all, something was never quite right with how things were run.

A natural at martial pursuits, her life plan consisted of joining the Brides of Ahlat until everything was rudely interrupted by Realm satrap Cathak Voper poisoning the Leopard and executing the entire clan. Despite extra men being deployed to the job, the troops sent to kill Lasting were found dead the next morning. Two years later, a coldly beautiful female gladiator began making her name known in distant Gem.

Lasting belongs to the Izhalvi people of Harborhead; she has relatively light skin, amber, almond-shaped eyes and very long hair like drying ink. Her demeanor is succinctly describeable as dark and cold, though her eyes burn much brighter than any possible Abyssal. The usual gladiatorial outfit she wears are a cloak and kilt of black edged with red since she is billed as a Bride of Ahlat. In fact, the assassination of her family occurred shortly before she was scheduled to enter (and presumeably pass) the preliminary contests to determine her eligibility. That said, she's certainly trained with the Brides before and knows their fighting styles and tactics inside out. Her preferred weapons are spears - particularly the two-handed short spear though she usually packs a shield inside the ring.

Blank Page is a courier of Gem who was fired by his previous employer for having the audacity to be literate around his messages. Reemployed by Lasting for his speed and endurance. He is highly skilled at parkour, getting around in general and has a thorough knowledge of Gem's disposition.
Blazeflower is an attractive and vocal fangirl who rose above the common fangirl to become an inseparable groupie and self-professed slave after a near-death experience. Has few actual skills (perhaps Craft: Lurid Image?) and keeps trying to score skinship but is incredibly super-duper fanatical. Lasting Phantasm has no problem using her whenever necessary but actually admires her Virtues. May be a masochist and is an actively bad cook unless one is also a masochist.
Drift-of-Sand is either the daughter or little sister or something of Lasting's Mysterious Promoter and was assigned to her by the latter. She is a precocious teen, forward, and gets away with quite a bit, including disparaging remarks on Lasting's lack of bookery. She manages the money and gets arrangements sorted out when doing so requires words rather than a spear or muscle.
Smoothed Pebble is a womand from a smithing family recently sold into slavery and won in one of Lasting's first title matches. Though very plain (especially beside Blaze and Lasting), she is good at mending all those simple things that need mending and particularly the stuff that her master tends to wreck with regularity.

In mass combat, after observing for a single long tick, may roll Wits + War in a simple action. Each success goes into a pool of bonus dice that can be added at any time (no more than 3 dice at a time) to attacks by a unit in which character is a commander or special character. Pool can be restocked with a full Wits + War action after being depleted. Also works for rolls made in a game of strategy.
