Last Haven

Once, long ago, or so the story says, there was a girl called Semtesuyara. She was born bellow the earth, in the bowels of one of the great under havens of the Dokkar. The girl named Semtesuyara was born to a poor family of merchants, barely getting by. When she wasn’t helping with the family she was reading books, all the books she could but especially those on magic.

There were opportunities for a girl as bright as Semtesuyara and in due time she was able to study magic. Semtesuyara found she was very good at magic and somewhere along the line decided that perhaps she should rule the world. After all, what were the petty kings and emperors and lords of the world beside an intellect like hers, one that had come up from such miserable roots and now stood as one of the most gifted mages in all the land?

And so Semtesuyara became a Necromancer and joined with others of her sort to take the world through the most fell magic.

Once, long ago, or so the story says, there was a king, the most handsome king in all the distant land he ruled. The king enjoy himself in every way that it is possible for a man to enjoy himself and several which for humans would be quiet beyond possibility. The king, you see was a demon. And his name was Mni, lord of debauchery.

Mni was ruler of all he surveyed, his power rivalling that of a god. And so, immortal, debauched and devoted to his own enjoyment Mni began to grow bored.

To the Necromancer Queen Semtesuyara it became clear that the Necromancers would lose. They were factious and divided for all their power, unable to truly trust one another. For this reason she journeyed far from the Necromancer’s centre of power and set up her own haven, and in due time began to construct the most wondrous edifice of sorcery in her career.

The spell would pull open a spirit node and draw through and bind one of the demon kings to Semtesuyara’s power, which would allow her in turn she believed to annihilate both her foes and erstwhile allies. Pulling on vast amounts of power from the Necromancer’s taps on the sea of Chaos she began her summoning. It almost worked. The summoning was in its final hours when the mana flow suddenly cut. Semtesuyara fought the spell, drawing on all the local mana she could to try to keep it going.

But it was not quiet enough. The demon king Mni was summoned, though he was cut off from some considerable amount of his power. He was not however completely bound to Semtesuyara. Rather they were bound together. For as long as Mni survived Semtesuyara could not die. In a way they fell in love with one another, though they also hated one another. The demon’s beauty was enough to make even Semtesuyara’s Adamantium control slip and bring a fluster to her tone, while for his part Mni had never found a woman more desirable than the seemingly unattainable Necromancer Queen.

Semtesuyara still wishes to rule the world and Mni finds the idea amusing. And so in their underground shelter they wait, plot and build up their power for the inevitable day when they shall do so.
