Aira is one of the older members of the Angel Street Otome, and her name is pronounced 'Area' (like the geometry) as opposed to 'Ahria' (like the music). Her family moved to Otome's Row in the post-war depression; she grew up with the girls in the St. Zoharia Orphanage and went to school there. Her mother died when she was twelve and her father remarried when she was seventeen. She lives in a tiny second-floor apartment paid for out of the meagre pension accrued from her mother's military service and has not seen her father for two years, ever since he moved out of the city, and rarely speaks to him on the phone.
Aira was enrolled in the Misaki College and was doing an electronics program after headmistress Omoi spotted her hobby and knack at fooling around with a soldering iron and voltmeter and gave her tuition. College is currently on hiatus for the summer and with the fate of the orphange in question, she may never return. She's also recently made a minor name for herself as a local DJ, playing at the Gothedral.
