Concept: Logical mages

While on the surface magic appears to be an arcane art filled with mysticism, to the people of Wusun magic is a science. There is logic, a math, to the paths of ether and how to harness them to your will. The great magi of the Wusun believed that there was no such thing as an insurmountable problems, and so the greatest magi set their minds to work on a solution to the dissolving starways then vanished as they enacted their solution. Into this power vacuum a young Pasha-Magi named Hiroshi Ruby-Eyes rose through flawless logic and military force and founded the Ilahi Dynasty which continues to rule through a morass of court politics, coupes and attempted coupes. Centuries of plotting and fighting all falling within a logic that serves to strengthen the Dynasty and the Sultanate as a whole. The Sultanate now stands a wealthy and strong rising power with the potential to expand further. Advised by a council 10 viziers (the best pashas and the wisest of the gentleman scholar-magi) and backed by their Clockwork Jannisaries, Sultan Naim the Honey-Voiced rules a world of spires, conspiracy and mystery.
