The Empire
The Georgian Empire is one of the oldest human powers in the underground world, claiming to be the direct continuation of a now mostly mythical polity on the surface of the same name. Presently it's centered around its capital, the grand cavern city of Zenopolis, and its immediate environs. It also serves as a religions center for the ancient Old Orthodox Church. Georgia was once one of the most powerful states within the underground, but over the last few centuries its powers have been much diminished and what was once a mighty empire that spanned a number of caverns and holds has drawn back or been pushed back into the territory around its capital.
