Intermarium Emergency Government
The Intermarium Emergency Government is all that remains of North America's Intermarium Alliance, one of the Solar Commonwealth's constituent powers. It was established at the CASAL (Command Alternate Space Air Land) facilities buried deep beneath Montana's Big Belt range during the Commonwealth Civil Wars following the destruction of the Alliance's primary strongholds in Colorado and Alaska. While it survived the wars it was for the most part unable to take any action to prevent further destruction during Heaven's Fall and largely retreated within its underground refuges to slumber for the duration of the comet bombardment and its apocalyptic aftermath. Only recently have Alliance forces returned to Earth's surface and some of their former territories in any real strength.
