PACT stealth systems are based on metamaterial impregnated hulls, of the wavelengths of most sensor systems. Bending EM radiation around the vessel itself, the PACT system is extremely effective although expensive and space-intensive as the ship must be constructed around its stealth characteristics. When people think about stealth, it is almost always the ECS. PACT breakthroughs in robustness mean that it is theoretically possible that even certain special forces infantry may be equipped with personal-scale ECS suits, although there has been no confirmation of such. Any such program would certainly be classified.

The Sino-Russian Arm believes in cost effectiveness, using a combination of RAM and visual camouflage to add stealth characteristics with minimal cost. The leaders in constructing cheaply applied stealth materiel, SR-arm stealth is still based on relatively archaic principles-countershading, active camouflage, and EM-absorbent materiel. On a naval scale ships not designed for atmospheric operation sometimes eschew even the active camouflage component by merely painting the vessel black-a adequate solution for visual discreetness. Advances in RAM, IR stealth, and active camo systems mean that the SR stealth systems are cheap, both to build and maintain, although less effective and space intensive.

The ZOCU stealth system, reverse-engineered from posthuman drones, is the most size-effective of the three cutting-edge approaches to stealth in the human Sphere. Projecting a field that redirects and weakens EM radiation from active sensors, as well as damping EM emissions from the vessel itself, the ZOCU system does not require significant space expenditure-but does, however, require significant amounts of Delta Dust and complex machinery, and is still not as effective as the PACT-pioneered ECS despite its posthuman origins (possibly due to limited understanding of posthuman machinery).
