Creating an organization:
The first step in participating in the story debate will be to create the organization which you will be commanding during the story debate. There are a few different types of organization you can choose from, each with their own perks and drawbacks to consider when choosing.


Step One: Choosing your organization type:
Types of organizations:
The type of organization you choose will determine what resources you start with as well as some of the advantages and disadvantages that you have to contend with in this world. Please be sure to read the advantages and disadvantages carefully before choosing your fate.


Ancient Conspiracy: Your organization has been around for a very long time and has had more time to prepare themselves for the current troubled times.

Advantages:
Two starting bases complete with vehicles and staff (only main base gets researchers and lab).
Disadvantages:
Reduced research rate (your organization has stagnated somewhat over the years). Reduced recruitment pool (your organization relies on a few that are “in the know” meaning you can only recruit every second turn).


Government Agency: Your organization is a shadowy government agency run on black ops budgets.
Advantages:

Agents already in place with government intelligence.

Reduced heat during operations on foreign soil.

Disadvantages:
Government oversight (operations on domestic soil can cause increased heat if government forces are killed).
Budgetary instability (your budget is subject to government whims).


Corporate Conspiracy: Your organization is owned and operated by one of the world’s largest megacorporations, though of course not publicly.

Advantages:
High tech toys (increased research rate for technology items).
Discount vehicles (after all, your Corporation probably built most of them vehicles cost 30% less).

Disadvantages:
Investor oversight (your investors expect profit even if it increases danger factors, this can mean a demand research on items you may not be prepared for or increased demand to retrieve objects even if it costs you men).
Expensive Operatives (since he cannot follow more “conventional” means of recruitment your required to rely on mercenaries for your troops, this means they demand higher pay operatives cost 25% more).

Religious Order: Your operation is clandestinely run by one of the world’s many large religious organizations.

Advantages:
Exorcists (your agents are adept at dealing with spiritual entities or artifacts).
Eyes and ears (where of the faithful live you have eyes and ears to report anomalies to your organization).


Disadvantages:
Only the faithful (your organization has a hard time working with those not of the same or similar faith including any secular organizations).
The Inquisition (your organization faces potential scrutiny from within its own parent religious group should you recover or experiment with the “wrong” artifacts).

Step Two: Selecting your base
Choose the home location of your first underground base (in the case of ancient conspiracy choose your first two bases). You may place your base on any continent except for Antarctica, the location of your facilities is top secret meaning you are too private message the GM regarding the location of your base and not post it in open comments.
