Frank LeMat

General LeMat, Alliance Aerospace Forces (ret.)

Brigadier General Frank S. LeMat, AAF (ret.), is a veteran soldier of the North American Alliance's aerospace forces, a capable pilot and able commander who served in nearly every major NAA military deployment over the course of the past few decades. Generally respected by his subordinates and capable of getting results even in the most difficult situations, LeMat's career was cut short by his outspoken political views and repeated clashes with the senior echelons of the Alliance's military.

Born on the Gulf Coast of the United States in 84 SE, LeMat grew up in a world in flux and like many children of his generation was deeply fascinated by the goings on outside the Earth's gravity well. Graduating from the Alliance's War College with favorable marks, he went on to serve aboard NAA warships and as he rose through the ranks, at the Decagon itself. Returning to ship service he qualified as a combat frame pilot fairly late in his career, as a prerequisite to command one of the fleet's warships.

With the shocking discoveries of the last decade however came a turning point in LeMat's career, as he vocally spoke out in favor of taking drastic measures to secure the Earth against any potential alien threat, and later openly opposed the activities of the IDCA and ETTAC. His openly hardline stance against these supposedly sinister and incapable international organizations put him at odds with the NAA's previous administration and saw him quickly shuffled to an out of the way post on the General Board, followed by a transfer to the inactive reserve list.

Unceremoniously drummed out of the military he'd devoted most of his life to, LeMat has attempted to settle into retirement. Plenty of time to write a book, keep busy with civilian flight, or perhaps even take up politics.
